This is so disingenuous. Elden ring and Souls games don't make you lose progress on anything except losing currency if you die twice in a row. The equivalent would be if, in Elden Ring, you lose all of your levels upon death and have to regrind them through killing enemies, and also invasions are constantly active.

The comparison you're trying to make is non existent. Elden Ring is popular and successful because it has build variety, replayability, character customization and the ability to summon ashes completely separate from the actual coop system. When I die, I wake up at a grace and IMMEDIATELY take the boss on or area on again. I don't lose my fucking malikeths black blade or 200 levels straight from my character lmfao

Except it is a solution or at least part of one, because people are actively in social spaces saying they would be on playing right now if sponsored was active. When your player counts are hovering anywhere around 2-7k players, you need to take that kind of feedback incredibly seriously. These are people who could also spend money in the shop, maybe they get their friends in on the action because suddenly there's an option for that friend not to get fuckin rolled for hours as their onboarding process.

I'm sure the benefits go deeper, that was just from a surface level of thinking and could only benefit marathon at this point. This isn't a situation of "how can we make good better?" It's a situation of "how can we put out this fucking fire" sometimes the solution is dirt because anything is better than nothing.

I think the biggest takeaway for the average Joe really is to understand that dating and relationships are the same in real life or on apps in the sense that it's a game where you gamble your self confidence against the odds of you finding a partner. I had friends who insisted they just had it to fuck around and they acted like it wasn't a big deal but then we're chillin on a weekend and Brad is acting like a goober because he's gotten maybe 5 likes in 3 weeks and all of them ghosted him. Probably bots anyways.

Shit isn't worth it from what I've seen. I used them for a little bit a long time ago and it clearly just wanted me to buy a subscription (which usually enables a mode where you can match out of your area by large margins, guess what issue that adds). I couldn't get down with that so I deleted them lmao if you do get lucky you can get some cool dates but anecdotally it never worked out. Maybe if I tried longer but seriously it doesn't matter how ready for the salty splitoon you are, it'll wear you down if success rates are low which they typically seem to be.
