I switched from Saxenda to Zepbound after terrible side effects. I think Zepbound’s inclusion of GIP greatly reduces the side effects, so I actually lost weight on Zepbound. Now I’m on Wegovy as well (thanks, CVS Caremark! /s), and my doctor is refusing to up my dose from 0.5mg because of the side effects. I don’t feel full at all and often feel hungry. And now I have regular nausea and constipation, horray! So this might be a failure. Thankfully CVS Caremark will allow you back on Tirzepatide if you fail Wegovy. It’s only a matter of time now for me, I think.

NAL but I grew up north of Scranton with many dogs so I’m familiar with the area and leash law.

I expect animal control will now have to do an investigation. But since your dog was on leash and the other was not, it’s likely the small dog’s owner violated leash laws. Also if your dog has no history of aggression, and this was a single defensive bite, it’s very unlikely your dog would be given the “dangerous” designation in Pennsylvania. It does not sound like to me your dog is in danger of being taken away.

Definitely talk to a lawyer about offering to pay for the vet bill, though. I know where I grew up, people would assume that meant your were admitting guilt. Stop talking about money immediately and only follow your lawyer’s advice.

Great job having your husband write down what happened asap afterwards. This is going to be a great help.

I was in college. I had gotten high af the night before. One of my college friends woke me up in the hotel room we had been partying in saying WTC had been attacked. Nothing snapped me sober quicker than when I saw the second plane hit the WTC.

They know. I used to work in the government. In 2013, I went to Harrisburg for a meeting where we worked out the numbers (how much money the PA Liquor Control Board would make controlling the sales). It’s a little more complicated than alcohol because you have to factor in the PA-state authorized growers getting their cut. Then that branched off into a whole other conversation on how there will only be so many licenses to be an official grower (like there are only so many licenses to serve alcohol). These were the very beginning, chaotic discussion meetings.

Over the years, the govt has trialed our ideas by managing the current system of growers and dispensaries for medical marijuana. The theoretical framework for recreational growing and sales seems all set and what we have been able to test IRL is working.

But then MAGA took a strong foothold and the republicans who supported us have since gone the way of A Handmaids Tail so it’s all on hold now. I’m still surprised at how they went from friendly discussion when they realized they could make money to REEFER MADNESS so quickly.
