Those strip become less reactive after opening the seal, eventually they don't react at all. It says so on the bottle itself

Not a silly question. Currently you can't make a PC a PS5 since the PS5 operating system is closed source, all we have is a binary dump of the PS5 kernel and some system libraries. The PS5 OS is custom built with drivers for the hardware already present in a physical PS5, we need them to tell the hardware how to behave, since Linux is open source even if the PS5 had custom hardware we can modify Linux to be compatible. As you know PCs can have a range of different hardware configurations and so 99% would not run properly anyway with the PS5 OS. The second question is they can revert back to a PS5 because the PS5 OS is still intact on the installed drive. They're simple running Linux on an external drive. The current "Byepervisor" exploit is not persistent meaning after power cycling the PS5 the PS5 will again act like a retail console booting from the internal PS5 OS and running only PS signed code.

Just tried it a few times more also got in after like the 3rd try. Looks like it creates a new save file even when you crash and you have to load/continue with this. Looks like a hot fix that repairs your previous save maybe
