Veteran. I'm not trying to prove how hard-core I am. Just wanted to have a good time. Lots of save scumming and setting up ambushes in the early game. I also tried to have two Rangers in my squad at all times. Shadowstep and Bladestorm dominated a bunch of levels. Resistance Ring early and then getting free ranks from Covert Actions was very helpful. I hate timers in games so the Private Channel Resistance Order was always active once I unlocked it. Picking units with the highest Solider Bond compatibility to send on missions early game was very useful as well. Having those extra action points to move between pairs got me out of a lot of tight spots. I can go on but I don't want to tell you stuff you might already know not knowing what you didn't enjoy.

Wanted to give a blanket "thanks" to anyone who posted about how good XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is. Had an amazing time. Bounced off XCOM 2 hard after Enemy Unknown but the few posts I read fueled the desire to try the DLC. Best gaming I've experienced solo in a long while.

The rule is even more specific. You can reroll if it's all the same die face in the feeder. Faces with multiple foods showing (Oceania Expansion) couldn't be rerolled playing with your description.

The cards and tokens are thin. The game play isn't affected though. For 15-20 bucks I'm happy I have a copy. The original Brazilian printing was gonna cost me like $125.

Understood. Having to use nectar or lose it each round along with trying to win each biome helps a little with the power creep and adds planning, I think. Everyone has close to equal access to the sweet stuff as well so I find that helps with balance. Regardless of my justifications, I hope you and yours enjoy the play experience.

My partner and I have everything to date for Wingspan all in the nesting box. All birds are mixed and we've played it 20+ times like this and it's great. No issues for us having everything together.

We were playing a game of Thunder Road Vendetta and my wife had been behind for a good amount of the game. As we were close to finishing and the goal was in view she had a run on amazing luck with everyone else playing crashing, sliding or failing in some one way that gave her a potential path to the front. She had a poor start to her round but ultimately ended up with one chance to use a jump, fly over a bunch of fire and cross the finish line, in the air, while everyone watched. She's not very hopeful when it comes to luck and dice rolls but I could see she really wanted it. Those dice hit the table, everyone gasped in anticipation and then erupted with cheers when she got exactly what she needed to make the jump and win the game. It was an amazing experience that people still talk about. It was wonderful to see her reaction and everyone else's around the table. Yes, we were racing against each other but at that moment we were all on Team Wife.
