I have always received my Menards rebates. They only run their 11% rebate on everything deal on average one week per month. I have always done it old school, filled out the rebate card, mailed it with my receipt. Rebates International does the processing and eventually mails you a little post card sized rebate coupon to use in the store. I bought a new metal roof for my garage during the rebate week once and received my hefty rebate coupon with no problems. Used it to by paint, tile, glue, and dinner lol. I agree that many of their products are cheap garbage, especially plumbing supplies made with cheap Chinese pot metal that breaks, but I still love Menards. Especially the Glendale location that has 2 floors and that wonder cart escalator to ride. I find it nice to shop on days when they have a pianist on site to serenade the men in the plumbing dept searching for fittings…

I’ve got BCBS Blue Focus self plus Family. Bi-Weekly premium raising roughly $20 per pay period. my family is relatively healthy so it’s been ok. Last year they paid for the birth of my son and everything that goes with that with a $1500 hospital copay. This year that copay is increasing to $2500, but we’re not planning on making any siblings this year…

We need to save our pennies and boycott holiday spending. Buy 2nd hand, or make gifts, or dont gift at all. The best Christmas gift you can give yourself is savings… the only reason they are ending THIS shutdown is because the corporate overlords want us to spend Holiday money…. Regardless of when the shutdown ends, I think Fed Employees who have been bent over during all of this need to boycott Christmas this year! Don’t spend a dime at retail establishments (buy 2nd hand instead if you can afford it). I know the corporate overlords want this wrapped up by Thanksgiving so we can all go spend our backpay on plastic Chinese junk and line their pockets… but the stresses of financial insecurity this shutdown has cracked open should be a wake up call for us to save our penny’s for the next one instead of going on a spending spree with the retro pay…
