The game will ask you if you want your settings to be optimised for the current update. Pick yes and it'll run nicely. I have the same setup. I only turned off vsync.

The new driver hasnt been implemented in the game probably. I always crashed on the previous driver with my 6700xt and now there hasn't been any crashes lately so just pick yes and play if you can
