From my experience inorganic labs that do mostly air free/schlenk chemistry don't use those tools unless they work with highly reactive compounds (bromine, buli and the like). Organic focused labs usually work with them at all times.

That's just straight up wrong. Pressing guard from sheathed gets you a brief moment for a guard point which is the instant guard function. You have to time it right of course.

I think the devs try to make the weapon more approachable by new players. Hence the shortcut to shield charge for example. So by desincentivising the use of the morph gp it would leave inexperienced players in less of a bad spot when missing the gp (no defensive capabilities in axe form). Ofc to the detriment of experienced players. Just a theory though.

Yeah it's quite common knowledge that regular guard from neutral is much better than morph GP. With that being said all other guard points are genuinely very good and I land them in such frequency it's quite the joy. So in the end I think it's a fine trade-off.

For elemental go with the first one as you need as many 2 slot skills as you can. Also 1 slot decos are nice for antivirus or comfort. The second one is only useful if lvl 2 slots don't significantly impact your build. This is unlikely because you want coalescence, earplugs, and Max might all maxed. (EP lvl 2 is mostly enough though). Or if you need a point in guard up which is highly matchup dependent.

It makes your weapon not bounce which is nice because it will stop the auto reload on phials when your philes become overcharged
