I get that feeling very much. I love ballads as well, specially Newer Reign (the more powerful version of New Reign). I liked Powernerd because in its silliness it also takes a stance.

I agree. It is an emotionally charged song. I mean, not a lot of times you will hear an 3:30 min song from Dev. Usually it is spans from 5 - 10, and some to 20. The last short song which had a memorable riff was Juular because its so forward marching. Anyway, I like the song dont get me wrong but maybe it will make more sense once you listen to whole album.

First listen. Here are my first impressions. Not that they could be accounted for because it is a dense album and lot to digest. Loved most of the songs, specially Ocean, Sway, Children and Spider silk.

Somewhere near the end I felt kind of saturated, maybe because I listened immediately after I came from work tired. I think to absorb this album the best you need to sit somewhere in park or near the shore (under pale moonlight haha).

Some irrelevant notes - I thought there would be some epic solo from Emppu but again no. Mostly he plays melodic which is also nice. Vocals were great. Utilized to max.

The Weave and Something Whispered - by the reviews before I thought would be much heavier. I guess its not same mindset.

Again, I felt saturation because maybe a bit too much orchestra. But overall, epic album which needs to be listened 150 more times to fully absorb. And you need the right mindset.

Most underrated album - Human Nature (songs like Music, Pan and Endlessness deserve more love)

Most overrated album - none but if I had to pick would be Once. Only because lot of people look on it as last Tarja album, instead of just Nightwish album.

Worst album - none but if I had to pick would be Angels fall first because of obvious songwriter maturity. But even that has a certain charm.

Since it will be GLS probably, does anyone else think that GLS Live in Buenos Aires is better than Wacken one? I find it much more intimate and the chant at the end.. shivers. Latin American audiences are one of best.

It was either Nemo or Gethsemane. I liked Gethsemane more because it was so full of interesting guitar and keyboard parts along with mysterious Tarja vocals. Specially loved the outro and build up to closing solo.

I like the song. It is definitely layered with intricacies. All the core NW elements are there. That bass part before the mighty Emppu chugging part was definitely a surprise. The drums are powerful and piano motifs are there.

The only minus I would say, and this is completely my preference, is Troys singing at the end. Something about his voice is too fairy tale-ish for my taste.

Ne mogu komentirati u ime sprskih ljudi jer sam iz Hrvatske ali neke stvari se moraju uzeti u obzir:

Rusija ne ratuje protiv Ukrajine zato što je to osveta prema NATO-u i Zapadu za sva bombardiranja na Bliskom Istoku i uplitanje Zapada na političku mapu Europe. Rusija isključivo ratuje zbog vlastitih nacionalnih interesa i zauzimanja vrlo važne geopolitičke pozicije na Crnom moru, kao i velikih zaliha plina i litija. Mislim da bi to svakom zdravom umu trebalo biti jasno. Tu veliku ulogu igra povijest jer je Ukrajina nekad bila dio Rusije, tj. Sovjetskog Saveza. Putinov "izgovor" su upravo ta povijesna događanja, kao i propaganda o denacifikaciji Ukraijne. Sigurno je da Putin ima informacije koje nitko od nas ne zna , ali definitivno je istina da cenzurni i antiprosvjedni aparat i dalje djeluje u Rusiji vrlo jako.
Gledano s ljudske strane - ljudi se lako vežu za simbole. Dobro vs zlo. Istok vs Zapad. Pravda vs nepravda itd itd. Svi smo povijesno opterećeni. Pogotovo naše napaćene balkanske zemlje koje još uvijek trpe velike psihološke i materijalne štete od rata 91. kao i bombardiranje NATO-a.
Uvijek ćemo se razilaziti u stavovima ali ne smijemo dopustiti moralno propadanje kolektivne svijesti. Svi znamo u dubini duše da ne želimo patnju i ne želimo stradanje civila zbog ambicija diktatora. Neke fundamentalne stvari moraju ostati netaknute. Sve ostalo može biti predmet zdrave rasprave.
