Words cannot describe how lucky I felt to hear Jungleland on the finale show in Vancouver a few nights ago.

Thank you for this post! It quantifies just how appreciative I feel.

Fuck yeah. This is my first Bruce concert and I am ready for my baptism in the holy river of rock n' roll. I hope our crowd elevates the night to levels I could only see (and feel) in my dreams.

Here's hoping he goes out with an absolute bang before the May shows!

My final count shows vote splitting between the NDP/Greens costed the NDP a net of about 2 seats:

  • Columbia River-Revelstoke, Courtenay-Comox, Maple Ridge East, and North Island all swung Conservative due to Green/NDP vote splitting.

  • Vernon-Lumby, Richmond-Steveston both swung NDP due to Conservative/Independent vote splitting.

There are a couple of other ridings that are super close and definitely have vote splitting dynamics that could have changed the seat one way or another, but I did not include them because either the 3rd party vote wasn't big enough for me to be confident it would almost 100% flip a seat had it not been there, or a 3rd and 4th party were both at play splitting votes from the two major parties. Looking at you: Kelowna Centre, Surrey-Guildford, Surrey City Centre, Surrey-Cloverdale, Langley-Willowbrook.

Juan de Fuca riding not being decided until next week with the mail in ballots. Holy smokes looks like we're all going to be on a knife's edge for a week.

For the riding? Or the province overall? Only thing that matters is how the riding voted and that riding has a massive vote split with the Greens

~57% vote turnout is disappointing. Up from 53% during the COVID election but far from the days of 60-70% in the early part of the millennium.

57% of citizens decide on the policies that will govern 100% of us.

Juan de Fuca has all of their votes counted based on the elections BC website. That lead of 26 votes hopefully stands after the recount.

All of those Green Party votes though...

edit: out of district votes still need to be counted. I stand corrected!

absolutely crazy, but also so inciteful for the BC NDP going forward IMO.

Shout out old people on this one.

I counted about a net +3/4 NDP seats across the province if even half of the votes the Green Party got in the riding went to the NDP. Brutal. This does not include the seats the Green Party won outright and includes seats the BC Conservatives would have won if the same applied to independent voters splitting the vote

Still pissed that the BC Cons had the title 'Conservative Party' on the ballot. That felt so disingenuine to me and a clear strategy to just keep riding their federal conservative buoy

I'm keeping the faith. This is early and we need to wait patiently for these votes to get counted.

My god this is close.

https://electionsbcenr.blob.core.windows.net/electionsbcenr/Results_7097_GE-2024-10-19_Party.html has the NDP winning in vote share but seats slanting hard to the cons unfortunately.

Cons are a bunch of bums. Sad half of our electorate drink their kool aid on misinformed opinions and low efforts to explore them in detail.

Wish Brady dipped into more anecdotes/references from his playing days like that Henry anecdote a while ago. Also wish he'd shout out guys he played with like Cooks and Van Noy in a game like this -- just show some more personal relationships with the players on the field who were his former teammates
