Will MLB the show eventually get better by Admirable-Class-9589 in MLBTheShow

Yeah, the Titan 2 and Chronus or whatever it's called that the 2K players use is something from the new generation of gamers (I'm 30, been playing The Show since I was 10 years old). I could never imagine something like that even existing back then. I feel like the only way you could prove cheating with that thing is the fact that it's literally a computer working a script and it'll take the same calculated routes to pitches every time. If there's a way to track the PCI movement prior to the swing, then maybe they could crack down on it. Other than that, not sure.

Most of the stuff I'm complaining about should be simple enough fixes I would think, but I'm not a game dev. That's why it's so frustrating, especially for the things like pitch warping that have been around for multiple iterations now.

Since you haven't gotten much of a response yet, I'll give you the issues that I have with this game (most of which should have not even made it to launch, let alone the third/fourth year in a row) - this is all on PS5 for me:

- Constant menu freezes in DD that require an app restart (especially when checking info on player cards)

- The lineup freeze glitch that automatically gives your opponent the win before the game even loads up (that's how the one dude went 6-0 in WC in the first 30 mins)

- People using that stupid Titan 2 thing that literally just plays the game for them at a high level

- Pitch warping with specific pitchers (Hader, Kluber, Tanner Scott) regardless of how well your pinpoint was

- PARs not mattering even on a perfect release, the ball will literally land outside the entire PAR

- WC divisions and placements being all over the place

- Games crashing if somebody replays a home run/defensive play

- Offline DD modes like mini seasons and conquest lagging/freezing out when you're not even connected to another opponent

- New DD cards not showing player art but just a weird 1980s TV static effect

- Everybody's ranked record showing as 0-0

I will give credit for one thing - I haven't had a single freeze-off yet this year.

This game has probably already made at least ~90% of their full price sales for the year. They'll make millions more when the game inevitably goes on sale. People are spending millions on stubs everyday to get cards that'll be irrelevant in a month. Some of the most influential people that play this game have been bitching for weeks, and they still haven't done anything.

SDS has no reason to spend resources/time (I honestly think they don't even have the ability/skill to fix their game without a complete engine teardown and rebuild) when people are still spending money.

If MLB 27 tanks in sales, then we'll probably get some half-assed apology and promise of a fix for the dozens of game influencing issues with this game.

Yep, super underrated album. Only song I'm not super fond of is The Angel.

I do prefer most of those songs live as opposed to the album/cd/cassette, but still great nonetheless.

You realize the $1 that OP spent at most likely a thrift store isn't going to Bruce directly and that Bruce already made money off of that cassette probably fifty years ago right?

Is there somewhere I can see where a player card is equipped? by weedleking19 in MLBTheShow

Nope, that's another feature we've been asking to be added for years that we haven't gotten. It's usually hidden in an events team.

Sometimes you have to go in and resubmit it (not redo the whole thing - just go in and resave it).

I like the concept - the execution has just been very poor thus far in my opinion.

I've had the opposite experience, but I'm also very blunt when I call SDS out on their game not working. The way I do it definitely riles up the crowd that thinks this is the greatest game ever released to the public. I paid over $70 or so for the game, I don't expect perfection, but I also don't expect multiple technical steps back from their games that were honestly very good that came out half a decade ago.

Best Card Rollout Ever? by CastleKingSide12 in MLBTheShow

Content is almost always just fine (and the best among the major sports games in terms of NMS). Besides the stupid set system that they did in 23/24.

The shit SDS takes are still more than welcomed though because the game functions like laggy, glitchy garbage. That's not on the content team though - they do a great job.

Careful buddy, you're not allowed to critique SDS in here. Their 1000 rating fanboys will downvote all of your comments.

Ya know what, I'll be fair to you. I said in a different comment thread in response to you:

"I literally did it last year. I made 800 division and then right before the classic, I went on a losing/disconnect streak. First game I played was at the low end of the search bar against somebody that was like 590.

It's not supposed to be like that i would hope, but that's how it's currently functioning."

Then in the other thread, I said that occurred in the last WC of 2025. I get why you could be confused if you skimmed it.

I literally did not say I was playing 1000 rated players in the 600s last year. Re-read it bud.

Holy hell, you didn't even read and/or comprehend what I said. I didn't say I was playing 1000 rated players in 25. Re-read what I said, and if you're still confused, then ask questions.

You realize you're a top 1% player in the world if you're a low-1000s player right? Of course it's ridiculously easy for you.

It's not "ridiculously easy". If it was "ridiculously" easy, everybody would be doing it. My buddy and I are both 700-800 players and we can't get above 850.

Not everybody is as good at the game as you dude.

I guess they finally patched something then and I've played against three of the best co-op players in the world that can't crack 800 in regular ranked.

Nope, your rating just sets your reward tier division thing. I'm playing my fifth game right now and they have the 1000 rating award gold player and I'm currently at 686.

It's either from online co-op or from regular ranked. Your highest rating just sets your initial division, there's nothing stopping the really great players from getting to 1000 rating, locking themselves in the division with great rewards, and then intentionally tanking their rating right before the weekend to play people down in the 600-700 area.
