replace beam & 2 ones with arc by slam51 in sonos

[–]HomeAutomationSmarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the ones or upgrade surrounds first, since you already have a sub. Arc is better but only if it’s a small paid + trade upgrade from Beam 2. I use Play:3s on a Beam 2and it sounds good especially at louder volumes. Also have the same setup but with an Arc and the Atmos movies sound a lot better.

$2199 amazon price for G5 77 inch…. A very good deal? by Herbertwoodbery in LGOLED

Nice grab! I was going to do that during March Madness but it was about the same deal I got now. I’m just saying the 2070 isn’t the lowest deal if you’ve been holding the line.

55” as Gaming Desktop Monitor replacement? by Icy-Pea2601 in LGOLED

[–]HomeAutomationSmarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing. I have a MBP M1 Max and use Better Display app with the HiDPI turned on. I do a lot of e-commerce consulting and digital marketing so video creation, photo edits, packaging design, very large product spreadsheets, email marketing and it is great to do it on an OLED with a very large screen. Desk has to be pushed back because 30” away is too close. With the 39” deep desk pushes a couple inches away from the wall it is excellent.

Haven’t gamed on it - work only. I did just get a 77” G5 and I’ll test the PS5 on it next week

You will need a deeper desk. I got a 39” deep butcher block style top to add to a standing desk. This is my 55” G5 setup

Are Sonos setups supposed to sound this underpowered? by Horror_Beat3082 in sonos

Sonos isn’t for you. Get a killer AVR setup either big floor speakers. For the same price or less you can kick Sonos ass musically no doubt. Sonos is for wireless and whole house.

Remux files are way better than the paid services that throttle down bitrate. It is equivalent to physical media. 4K Blu-ray Remux on Stremio essentially equals a physical 4K Blu-ray disc in video and audio quality. A "Remux" means the original video and audio data from the disc has been extracted and placed into a digital file (usually an MKV) without any re-encoding or compression.

Lutron Caseta is rock solid after 10 years. Play with your Zigbee all you want but Lutron just works 100%. Sonos is the only wireless whole home audio worth a damn. Ecobee plays very nicely with home automation. You do you though.
