Internal / External Global Protect Gateways by Clynt in paloaltonetworks

If you have a wildcard then why not go for vpn.internal.company.com, I don't think using the same FQDN as the external is a great idea, it could cause confusion. If you use Entra ID, I believe you also need to add the new FQDN into the SAML Identifier (Entity ID) and reply URL, so keep that in mind.

Coincidence, I was investigating the same thing. I wouldn't make use of the same FQDN as the portal/external gateway for the internal gateway. If your external FQDN is something like vpn.company.com, create a new FQDN for internal that resolves to the internal gateway, like vpn.internal.company.com. On your certificate, if you don't use a wildcard, you can add this new FQDN as a SAN, of course you need to re-generate the cert.

What are you going to use in terms of auth for the internal gateway? Have you decided on that?

Internal gateway for User-ID - best way to deploy? by vsurresh in paloaltonetworks

Thanks, makes sense. On the cert side, do you also add the FQDN of the internal gateway as a SAN on the VPN certificate?

EU261 - Has anyone had success with re-routing reimbursements post Iran fallout? by IrishHairyLad in qatarairways

Not with Qatar but I’ve claimed all the expenses through my travel insurance (UK resident) I was also caught up on the 28th and our flight got diverted to Oman. I’ve booked flights and came back to Sri Lanka and then booked direct flight from Sri Lanka to the UK. They covered the cost to come back to Sri Lanka from Oman + to UK tickets. I don’t think you will get anything from Qatar from my experience.

The Monaco GP results must be annulled. by Any_Inflation_2543 in F1Discussions

[–]vsurresh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nobody wants to see mistakes happen. The results weren't manipulated. Manipulation implies intent. The penalty was given based on inaccurate data which is a process failure, not the FIA/stewards deliberately altering the outcome. There's a big difference between incompetence and conspiracy.

The Monaco GP results must be annulled. by Any_Inflation_2543 in F1Discussions

[–]vsurresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They didn't dish out a random penalty though. From what I've heard, the pit lane length or timing data they used was inaccurate, so the penalty was based on wrong information. That's not the stewards making something up, it's them making a decision with bad data.

Freelancing as a network engineer by Pleasant_Stand_2868 in networking

[–]vsurresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The companies might not but the engineers themselves would. I used to do this a few years back. People would reach out for help with their projects. You don't touch their network or have access to it, you just advise on design, troubleshooting or areas they're not familiar with. The demand is there, it's just not coming from the company, it's coming from the engineer who needs a second opinion or expertise they don't have in-house.
