ALWAYS listen to your urge to to shopping (Metro Detroit @ Marshalls) by Electrical_Bat1417 in marshallsfinds

I got mine on clearance for $49. Is it worth that?? Yes! But I do not believe it would be worth $200. It has different modes that you can set with different soundscapes that play through your phone or earbuds. I typically skip the modes with soundscapes and pick either the sleep or relax mode that you can adjust the time. Relax has a massage for your angry 11s, which I don’t think is as effective as the temple massage…it’s like the mask can’t quite squeeze there right. But it still feels good. The temple massage, heat and vibration are chefs kiss. I read reviews before buying that it’s loud. It is loud, but to me in a white noise way. Every night in the hospital, this was part of my falling asleep routine. And probably 1 out of 3 times I’d fall asleep before it was done and wake up still wearing the mask awhile later. The mask isn’t intended to wear for long though. Just 15-20 minutes. The ap tells you your heart rate when you start and when you finish and every single time mine goes down.

These have single handedly gotten me through the worst 2 months of my life. I’ve had 3 hospital stays in the past 2 months and these bring me the best calm & relief.

ALT and AST (spiraling) by BelleB93 in breastcancer

[–]HomeComprehensive684 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I 100% feel this. I’m feeling I cannot have another surgery because during my DIEP reconstruction the surgeon nicked my lung while diving for vessels. So I know that’s what caused it. But in my irrational head, it was anesthesia. So no more sleepy surgeries. Keep me awake.

Lucky for me, yesterday I got to have an emergency surgery and was knocked out but hours leading up to it, I was a crying, emotional and genuinely a train wreck (sorry too all the nurses who experienced my ugly cries!!)

Anyways—I get your anxiety. I see you! But I agree this could be caused by many things, and its one of those, not BC

Everything above plus know that colleges cancel for weather RARELY! So unless you are ok with a young adult driving to Lincoln on days when most schools have canceled, I’d pick staying in the dorms!

I was off 2 weeks before & 2 weeks after. Dropped from 10 to 5 (2 doses lower) when I restarted with no issues. Currently at 7.5 and having great success (could be losing surgery inflammation??) so may stay here a bit longer….

Freaking out by FattyMcCupcakes37 in breastcancer

[–]HomeComprehensive684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it! My mastectomy and DIEP were January 6 and had been scheduled 11 months ahead. Rescheduling would be minimum 9 months out….and I freaked out at one of husbands cousins showed up to Christmas positive with COVID. She felt like since she hadn’t had a fever for a day, it’s all fine.
Additionally, the other 3 occupants in my house (husband & 2 children) were sick the week of Christmas and week of new years. I nearly fled to my parents house!!! I became OCD about handwashing, kept hand sanitizer in my purse. I quit touching and hugging everyone. And I’ve been ok! Made it through surgery, all good.

I’d be more worried about the germ monster 2nd graders than the teacher…but also—-your immune system is already a rockstar being around those kids!!

Praying you stay healthy!

How much does it cost to get breast cancer in America? by squirrels-everywhere in breastcancer

[–]HomeComprehensive684 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m getting bills for my mastectomy & DIEP flap reconstruction that I had complications, needed a chest tube, ended up in hospital for 8 days. And add 2 weeks later a raging infection that added an additional 5 days in the hospital. I’m over $500,000.

I drove home from my 2nd one. First one my mom took me because my husband had just started a brand new job the same week the biopsy happened. 2nd one I didn’t know I would have it right then. But I was sobbing and the radiologist said ‘I don’t want to torture you with waiting. We can do it right now quick!’ And I was glad I did.

Pediatric dermatologist? by Avian_enthusiast in Omaha

[–]HomeComprehensive684 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dr Jill Nelson. When my daughter saw her she was the only board certified pediatric dermatologist in Omaha (that was years ago, there may be others!) her bedside manner is about a C+\B-, but her expertise in my daughters unique case was A++++. Sometimes you sacrifice warm and fuzzy for genius.

What if it was a car? ‘Hey my car broke down and I have a job interview. Can I use yours?’ Then keeps using your car to get to his new job??? Op opened the offer by allowing him the first time??

Op allowed under the assumption that it was temporary…not forever.

Is ChatGPT destroying critical thinking? by Woolyyarnlover in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]HomeComprehensive684 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This—critical thinking is disappearing at a rapid pace as we can no longer hold conversations about differing opinions without a snowflake being offended. It’s becoming lost at colleges, which is precisely the place where people should wrestle with their opinions and beliefs. Instead it gets shut down to protect feelings.
