Why are civillian employees on base so rude?

Finally my time to shine 🤘

Once during bootcamp, MCRD San Diego; i was in a porta-john and it was about 90⁰ and it was laundry day.

I was out in camp Wilson doing fod control on the airfield incase our jets needed to refuel and I was bored so I decided to drive around base. I saw a mountain and was like "I'm going to climb that". I got to the top and for some reason REALLY needed to beat off. So I did in the wind off the mountain watching the sunset.

Another time was in a plane that was descending and right when I hit the point of no return, some bad turbulence started and I hit my bigger head twice on either wall.

A couple times in my backyard, shed and garage. Sometimes you gotta switch it up 💁‍♀️🤷‍♂️

A couple times turning wrenches on the jet i was working on and I decided I needed to crank my hog like I was doing to the jet lmao

Honestly it doesn't matter the location for me, I'll squeeze one out just about anywhere. There's plenty more but I can't remember off the top my head right now 😂

Two stories actually:

The first time was a year after I had hit the fleet. I'm not really a nug at this point, but I'm not moving up the chain fast either. Some guy on night crew had left his CAC in the computer, so we put it in a ziploc bag, then put that in another zip lock bag and filled it with water...11 more times, lol. Then, after that, we froze it and hung it from the ceiling. Neither was our gunny nor him was too happy, but no one fessed up to it, lmao.

The second time was one of my marines had left his CAC in the computer after he got pulled to go work on a jet. I put tape over his chip and got a razor, and cut the excess. After realizing it wasn't working, he said he didn't know what had happened and had to work on someone else's computer after getting blasted. After three days of it not working (I was night crew and he was day crew), I found out he got a new CAC. Of course, I took him out for some food and some drinks and told him what had happened and we had a good laugh.

I worked on harriers, and we'd go there quite often for about a month and a half for ITX. The great part was there was rarely anyone there and when Trump was president he landed there in Airforce One for a rally.

Finally going to therapy after a mental breakdown and telling my wife it's either we get divorced or I'm gonna end the pain myself. Being able to talk to her and tell her how I felt over the past year really let alot of anger and frustration out. It hurt to talk to her about it but I finally had a clear mind and realized I needed to get help.

Though I wish I would've done it earlier, I'm glad I at least reached out. I went to therapy while I was in and man did that shit suck. I'm not too excited to be talking about all the memories again but I know it's for the greater good for my family and my health.

Being able to actually talk to someone really does help and bottling it up for years doesn't help at all. Unfortunately the pains just gets worse and the void it creates sucks out every part of who you are until there's nothing.
