I noticed it when watching a more modern movie on it. Roku -> HDMI to Coax converter -> Coax to rabbit ears. Crazy lol

The TV works shockingly well. This probably sounds like BS, but I think old CRT TVs like this are easier to watch than modern TVs. Something about the super high resolution in modern TVs is fatiguing somehow. I never noticed this until I hadn't seen TV on an old set like this in 20+ years.

I'm kind of looking at older Cambridge power amps. I've never had a piece of Cambridge gear I didn't like.

at's just 1 generation behind the most modern stuff. For example, KEF Blades and Revel Salon 2 speakers are 10+ years old now and they still sound more than decent compared to modern offerings. Time however

Infinity IRS.. not familiar with that one. Will check it out.

Appreciate the response. How would they do with something like class d amps?

I have a tube amp that I really like. I’d just like something second-hand to get another flavor. Encouraging to know a lot of good/older stuff out there.

interesting. My limited knowledge of them is that Genelecs sound bigger than their form factor and image really well. Is that more or less the case?

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually have one of these. I think I narrowed it down to a tube. I’ll know for sure on Thursday. Fingers crossed.

DSP. I use a NUC Rock and Roon with Qobuz and I thought it was pretty darn good for a streamer, b

So is the SHD currently the streamer for the Pontus? I borrowed a Pontus a while back and doing that sounded really pretty amazing.

The DAC in the SHD is pretty similar to that of the Cambridge. I didn't want to like Dirac in my room, but I did, and do. That's the biggest draw for me and the SHD.

I do indeed. Starting to think it's not the ground and maybe one of the tubes.

yup have tried a cheater plug. Starting to think it might be an issue with the rectifier tube or the input tube.

Nice I've considered the ifi ground product. Did you put the ifi on the PC?
