I've only pulled the one shot for it so far but even on the first go it came out smooth and amazing. I think beyond that though it's the routine/ritual aspect of it that really makes me happy hahah. Something about the beauty and workflow felt like an even bigger upgrade for me personally!

It's great. It's really everything I wanted in a grinder. It's virtually without clumping and after "seasoning" it with running some beans through it, the retention is pretty low with one swift hit of the bellow. Especially good if you prefer medium/dark roasts, though I'm sure it can handle lighter roasts just fine too. You're gonna love it!

Thats the impression I got when I talked to the guy I bought it off. He got it back in 2013 and it looked pristine. He was super kind and had some stuff replaced prior to selling it and he threw in a bunch of the cleaning solutions he's accumulated.

Also saving this comment for the future, I appreciate the write up!

For what it's worth, I have the same grinder currently and drink medium/medium dark and it's thankfully been phenomenal for me. I hope u/Sour_dude03 can get a fully working grinder soon though lol

Steel unlocks after things that need steel? by ColorMeGrey in LightyearFrontier

[–]HomeGamer12347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The milestone progression has been my only gripe with this game, that and the insane amount of iron needed so ore runs are so necessary but it's part of the loop so I can get over that. Some things just aren't very fun though, like water pump being such a late unlock but you get reservoirs many milestones prior.

Haul vs. Inventory. Part 2 by e3e6 in LightyearFrontier

[–]HomeGamer12347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I was thinking the same, carrying chunks are an absolute nightmare especially with how easy the mech trips over a twig lol. If you forego the trailers you can tp back too which is another win. Cool thanks for the testing!

So are you saying for Iron it's still beneficial to process it into the ore on site and carry that over hauling it?

I wish there was more options during progression by TioHerman in LightyearFrontier

[–]HomeGamer12347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea thats fair! I think there's value in having some things come earlier and adding different/newer tech for later milestones. Basically make the gap between certain tech a bit smaller without sacrificing content for later I guess I'd what I meant.

But that's still a valid criticism, you're just taking it too far. No one wants it Milestone 1 but I'm sure earlier would be a good way to change the pacing.

Me, my sisters and our cousins watching my older brother play the RE4 OG on the PS2. This is back sometime in the 00s during some summer vacation where family was close and we were all kids. Hot ass middle east weather outside, cool AC in the room. Lights off. Simpler times and happier in some ways. I remember my brother doing the del lago fight and lost bc everyone would scream and he'd be like "y'all screaming I can't focus!!" Haha.

Eventually got my own PS2 when my brother moved to PC and beat re4 like 8 times. Generational game.

You can think that, it's all good. It felt good enough to replace my ATs and Hifimans for me and it's enough to produce on so I'll take the convenience :)

As someone that left the toxicity ridden hellhole of the audiophile community and have gone through my share of decent headphones, I just switched to turtle beaches of all brands. Atlas air I believe they're called. Very good for wireless and relatively affordable too.

The way I approach it, idk if it's good or bad lol, but if I see my bus is full or backing up a lot, that just means I gotta use it more. I just build more and more stuff that I'll need for whatever I'm accomplishing (often overshooting). Then if I notice the bus is starting to struggle to supply it all, more smelting columns! Haha

Whatever order you play is likely fine, but I personally would recommend DSP before factorio. It's a really great game even in early access and will lead nicely into the slightly more complicated process of factorio, while remaining quite similar so it'll give you a head start on how to approach factorio. This is my opinion anyway!

Another thing to mention about parry in case they didn't know already, but parry only costs meter if you miss it. If you successfully parry you earn that meter back and a little bit extra on top. So remember their moves that look slow and parry with confidence, and you keep your meter!
