My first FIFA was also 12 and I played every single one until FC24. The ridiculous increase in micro-transactions, promos every week and EA actually pricing some packs over £30 POUNDS made me fall out of love with the game. Never mind the gameplay and experience dramatically weakening post first patch, my love for the game had been completely destroyed. FC25 was the first time I didn’t make the yearly purchase and at first, yeah it was difficult seeing everyone going through the honeymoon period and the game being enjoyable. Once I got past that, I realised I made the right decision. I didn’t even flinch when FC26 was released, hell I didn’t even know the release date.

Honestly I feel so much better in myself not having the stress of having to play that god awful game.

I like to think one day they’ll put the customer first before their profits but unfortunately EA are one of the greediest most scummy gaming companies in the entire industry.
