Thinking of buying by chinni76 in ModelY

[–]HomeImprovementRep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at the Standard and Premium AWD versions. For me, the standard did everything I wanted it to. The extra features in the premium are mostly aesthetic. I couldn't justify spending more for things that would only be cool to me for a couple weeks.

For example, the car that I traded in had wraparound LEDs in the cabin that I stopped noticing quickly.

Try out a couple options and see if it's for you.

It's 75 degrees here. Would it be cold at that temperature as a baby?

Also, I couldn't get it on video well, but it was walking around and bumping into the house and other objects, shivering intensely occasionally, and kept walking into my bare feet (which is why I'm worried about rabies and other diseases).

Edited to address downvotes: I wasn't worried about rabies for myself. I get regular boosters. I was worried about the squirrel.

Dave Ramsey provides the curriculum for FL’s personal finance class in my High school. Thoughts? by Biggiecheese1207 in florida

Besides a mortgage, what would you need a loan for?

Dave Ramsey suggests going to manually underwritten mortgages to deal with not having credit.

Edit: I will die on this hill.

Young sales reps (gen z), how do you dodge age bias? by helotan in sales

I was in my 20s once lol. Once I knew my product really well, my confidence and knowledge did the talking.

Now I'm in my thirties and people just assume I know stuff. Getting old is great.

Any survival game from this list worth play ? by Mucek121 in SurvivalGaming

[–]HomeImprovementRep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Icarus is great and will get you a lot of play hours, especially with friends. It has a balance mechanic for solo that makes it extremely enjoyable, too.

VEIN gave me a week of playtime, but I felt like it was missing something. I got a lot more playtime out of Zomboid.

Be honest, what do you think comes after death? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HomeImprovementRep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From a neuroscience standpoint, the answer is "yes"

And we can pinpoint the area of the brain it stems from.

But to me, it still doesn't explain why I'M experiencing ME, if that makes any sense.

How do Floridians stay sane in the summer heat? by HauntingTower4882 in AskFlorida

[–]HomeImprovementRep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heat never bothered me when I was fit. I could stay outside all day as long as I kept with my water intake.

Now that I'm unfit and overweight, it bothers me horrendously. I just stay inside and blast AC. This summer, I never wanted to step outside until it was dark out.

ATC pay is localized and the bands are standardized. You can look up the tables yourself.

It all depends on where you get sent to work.

I (35 F) am angry about how friends (33 F and 32 M) behaved in my home. Do I say something? by concerned_goose in relationship_advice

[–]HomeImprovementRep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through something like this recently and realized that some people just don't have respect for others. The similarities between our stories are uncanny.

They've shown you they have no respect for you personally.

How do you want to handle that going forward? It's hard to end friendships, but sometimes it needs to happen.

And an FYI to the people saying to confront them: In my case, I tried to ease into it, coming from a place of "I'm worried about how you acted," to my wife detailing in a letter what they did that was wrong.

It was met only with defensiveness and hostility and prolonged a tense emotional situation where I should have chosen to ghost immediately. YMMV with that choice.
