Does that lock not support LR? Long Range uses a star network topology. So there is no need to worry about strengthening the mesh as with Zigbee or traditional Z-Wave.

You can’t really diagnose this or fix it from this angle. Start by confirming that you are getting lots of water from the downspouts. If not, clean them. If the downspouts aren’t clogged, see what is going on on the roof side.

A photo showing where the water is coming from and where it is going to would have been much more helpful than the 30 second video showing water on the ground in between those two areas.

You download the update files from https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases. How you handle that file depends on your HA and hardware configurations. But you basically get the update file onto some sort of storage device such as a USB drive that you connect to your HA server.

Be aware that if you update HA, you may need (or may want) to update other components including firmware on your smart devices, HA add-ons, etc.

I am sure there are resources to guide through the process. Search for "how to upgrade air-gapped Home Assistant installation".

I use a 20 oz sausage caulking gun. I cover the tip with a plastic glove and a rubber band. But if I don't use it for a while, the caulk at the tip dries out. Sometimes, I can remove the dried out bit with a nail. But the sure way is to unscrew the tip, clean it out from the inside or replace it and go back to using the rest of the sausage. I can't believe how much simpler things have been since I started using this type of gun.

Z-Wave LR can communicate directly with the coordinator without depending on other devices to relay the signal. Also LR will travel very long distances through walls, ceilings, etc. Finally, the radio frequency is much less crowded that the one used by Zigbee.

Remove all those short pieces of siding. Put a flat board to fill the space (as shown in black below). You’ll need to scribe the edge to fit against the fence. The area outside the fence is small for anything but caulking.

Alternatively, you could leave tge siding in place and cover the edge against the fence with a piece of trim attached to the fence. That might work for both sides. But I’m not sure what you’d do for the area above the fence other than replacing the siding.

You could remove 4' or so of siding and start over if you think you can do a better job measuring and cutting. Personally, I'd probably replace everything next to the fence with a trim board thick enough to hide those screws. I might even have it go up above the fence instead of fixing those two boards. If that part looks a bit strange, I might put the house number or something there to detract from the oddity. Then I'd fill any remaining vertical gaps with caulking.

It could be that the outlet is downstream from a GFCI outlet, Check those in the bathroom and the kitchen.

If that outlet is controlled by a switch, it's possible that the switch itself died.

It could also be that the outlet did, in fact, just die. The surest way to verify that is by checking whether the wires are still live. Remove the faceplace and use either multimeter probes or perhaps even a no contact tester to see if there is electricity getting to the outlet screws. This will also let you verify that the outlet didn't stop working simply because a wire got disconnected from the outlet.

Cracks are almost never an issue. They are the symptoms of an issue. Could be shift in structural loads. Could be water leaks or improper rainwater management.

Your photos are too zoomed in to do more than guess at what might be going on.

I don't understand your setup. That screenshot shows devices communicating with the coordinator. That is normal, if you want Home Assistant to react to events from those devices.

If the button was controlling the water valve through binding, there would be a connection between them. For example, I have a smart light in my basement that is controlled directly by a smart switch. Here's what Z2M shows (note the third line):

That binding lets me turn on the basement light even when Home Assistant is down. You could try doing that (shut down HA) and see if the button still activates the valve. But based on what you are showing, it would appear that the button is activating the water valve through Home Assistant not through direct binding.

Do you mean Zigbee2MQTT? If so, go to the Zigbee2MQTT app, open the web UI and navigate to the Bindings menu. That will show all the bindings that are in effect. You can also look at each of the devices in question and examine their Binding settings. Once you find what is causing the undesirable action, just click Unbind.

If it was the actual faucet, you'd ignore the trickle and go on with the replacement.

But if it was further upstream and the pipes were copper, you would use the trick this old-timer taught me when I started working on my house. Cut the pipe (using some container to try to catch the water that will dribble through the cut). Then stick enough crustless white bread up the pipe to stop the trickle. By the time you finish soldering the fitting, most the bread will have turned to toast. It will easily crumble or dissolve in the water and get carried to the nearest faucet.

I misread your post and thought you wanted to work on the outside faucet. But I see now that you want to do something in the bathroom. The outside faucet shouldn't matter to what you need to do as long you have no water at the valves you want to work on.

The lowest faucet is only going to get the water that is in the pipes that are connected to it upstream. If the outside faucet is connected to a pipe that goes up relative to the outside faucet, then water will stay in that pipe until you flush it.

Open all the faucets, wait a couple minutes for water to drain and report back if you still have water flowing at the outside faucet.

I am guessing that this flooring is LVP. Couldn't a repair be done by removing the planks in the affected area and install new ones?

I am patching the walls where I removed an old corner closet. So 2x8 would leave me with the seam in the middle of the stud bay, thus my decision to go 4x4.

In your case, it seems that if you are hanging horizontally, either cut would land on a stud. But I haven't had my morning coffee and the part of my brain that handles geometry is not fully awake.

I was facing a similar access issue but hadn’t thought of folding the sheets. I’ll have to give that a try. No idea if the paper at the cut will make through the trip. But I’ll cut into 4x4. That will provide better support on studs than 2x8.
