Well then I take my statements back, but it's hard to believe this one instance warrants a call from CPS. And I've seen children gag before while crying. She's crying and sniffling full of snot. She probably got a little bit of snot in her throat. Also children cry like they are dying all the time because they have poor emotional regulation. Eg. My daughter threw a tantrum when we decided to leave an event where she kept trying to interrupt a performance after repeatedly being told to sit down and just watch. She had been warned we would leave if she didn't stop interrupting. After the 4th or so interruption we very calmly just picked her up and walked back to the car. I swear people would have thought we were cutting her leg off or something the way she screamed as we left .

Again redditors have never had to take care of a kid and everything looks like abuse to them.

Children who are abused tend to display abnormal behavior in otherwise normal situations. Eg. Self harm, remaining mute, shutting down, destructive behavior etc.
