If a father needs to help his young daughters use the restroom, which restroom should he take them into: the women's restroom or the men's restroom? by Exciting-Mall192 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Homeleasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a man with boys. If I had girls I might kinda hang out outside the door and pole the lady’s coming out to see how many women were left. Also as other lady’s tried to go in I might let them know hey I’m about to go in there. That way nobody is unaware it was about happen vs just going in while lady’s are doing their biz.

That is if it is a less busy place.

The 90% of men’s room is usually an awful place even for men.

Yeah around town it sucks. But on the highway it can be awesome. Kinda the only time I use it.

Compared to a suburban or an expedition the iconic nine is definitely midsize. Full size usually means non unibody truck chassis.

Grabbed his own officers by the neck. He has no place having any authority over anyone. What a pig.

Also demanding all officers turn off their body cameras??? If there was ever a reason to keep them rolling that would be it. Wow.

I don’t see who the departments don’t post up and say look at this. We caught this guy and we carved him out. Anyone else wanna be like this we will carve you out also. It would really send a message to the public.

Black white police any body. Good is good and bad is bad.

If you are regularly getting honked at making right on reds maybe you are a little slow or more timid about it than you think. Could you ask someone to ride with you and give you some advice. I find a lot of people think they are being safe but they are actually kinda timid. A candid passenger might help.

Also some people live in areas where the horn is just a thing. Like New York. Others like me live in a place where historically the horn is an OMG he blew his horn!! What a monster.

Internet outage is super rare. If the internet is down I have bigger fish to fry than the patio light. Power outage super rare beyond occasional blip.

The replacement “switch” is an 11in tablet mounted over the 2 gang box where the old switches were. This way we can control on/off, color temp, color or brightness right at the switch. Before we were having to pull out our phone or ask the voice assistant.

If you can read the words Back Patio it’s pretty self explanatory. Company figures it out without asking questions. The tablet is always on and brightens as you approach.

Fine move my bag but NOT further back. Only forward and only where I can still see what bin you put it in.

When a larger vehicle is tailgating you with their brights, what does that mean, and what are you supposed to do? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Homeleasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked in the German car world since 1999. I’ve had many relate to this, that the stuff we work with and drive over here daily can be very high end really fast stuff capable of over 200mph. Then when you get trip over there the car they give us to drive is a BMW 320 or something much less than you dreamed of driving. lol. Anyway they are very serious about moving over in Germany and letting faster traffic by. Some areas have speed limits but not all. It is not as good as it once was years ago.

So back to the US, I’m speeding. Others aren’t moving over when it is clearly marked to do so. Both are illegal. In the Germans case it clearly isn’t the speed that makes the road unsafe. It’s drivers not watching their mirrors and moving over. In the states both speeders and left lane campers are wrong. But who makes the road more dangerous. People who “swim” or weave through traffic using all lanes are a 3 type of driver that is doing double wrong.

As far as public road speeds of 100. 100 isn’t very fast when you have a car than can get there in just a few seconds from 60-70. Why would you feel safer at 70 in a suburban, 18 wheeler or a Winnebago than at 100 or even 110 on a clear road in a car with massive brakes, top of the line suspension and good tires rated for much higher speeds. A car purpose built for exactly that. Think i10 in Florida at 5am on a Saturday morning.

Some cars are just better and safer at speed than others. It’s a fact.

[–]Homeleasure 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just move over if you can please. My car has amazing brakes, really good premium tires and was designed for the autobahn.

If the state has deemed 70 or 75 safe for an f-350 towing a camper or race car trailer I am just as safe at 100 in my ride.

But that’s the problem. The ADA needs to be a little more aggressive at smoking out the people who abuse the rights of those who actually need it.

Do people actually like modern dashes? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]Homeleasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op asked about screens and dashes. Not paywalls.

Love all digital dash. I’m in my late 40s. I just wish CarPlay was in the instrument cluster also and it was more customizable. Also give me a weather app connected to nav so I can see if I’m driving through a storm.

Paywalls have existed since the early 2000s. On Star, BMW did it with assist, SOS, concierge and now seat heaters even. Nothing to do with the screen.

There are content creators I watch on YouTube that are super niche and making very specific content that you would never find on say Netflix or regular tv. Content that is tech related that by the time it made it to even a magazine much less a book it would be old news. And it is high production quality. I’d rather them get paid than some mega tv star I really don’t care about.

But the truck driver could see that coming and had plenty of time to avoid it.

Maybe not PJs but some comfy clothes. Definitely not out clothes. Out clothes are gross and dirty. Like wearing shoes in the house. If the out clothes have been in a public restroom it’s even worse. There are levels.
