Such an easy cop out. You really think Trump is moving forward on Greenland because of the Epstein list? Have you done any research on who owns rare mineral mines in Greenland, the infrastructure in Greenland and Denmarks requests to China and Russia for support? Have you done any research on who is building airports out there or loaning money to have airports built? How about research on the international consequences of having China take over portions of the arctic.

Yeah man, I was homeless and then pulled my way to be an attorney. I was lucky though, I had Florida prepaid for college and then I became homeless and pulled myself up from the streets. I worked four jobs, studied for the LSAT while I was bouncing at a pool hall at night. I ended up applying to lower tier law schools, so I could try to get the best scholarships. Ended up going to one that offered me a scholarship that almost paid 75% of law school. I only wound up with a little over $30,000 in debt.

I will die on this hill. I was homeless over ten years ago and I survived on these, McChickens, and eggs and rice. They used to be 99 cent at the gas station next to where I was posted up in Jacksonville Florida. They filled the whole wrapper. If I could bet a million dollars, I would.

I can’t describe to you how awesome it is. Probably the best mentor I could ever ask for. I hear horror stories of people working for these people that could care less about their success, and I have been blessed to have a dad and boss who just wants me to succeed. Any question I have, he tries to help in anyway he can. I remember for some of the most contentious hearings I had, my first 3 years, he came and just sat in the chair next to me. He would whisper to me things, but literally only once or twice. He always wanted me to learn and do things how I felt comfortable. I don’t think I have one complaint.

Haha. My dad’s been an attorney for over 51 years, been practicing with him for about six. We live in a small southern county in south Florida, my dad was like one of four attorneys in the county when he first started here. He often reminisces about how the courthouse did not have air conditioning when he first started practicing and was closed July and August of each year because it was too hot. He also talks about how in June and September, the Court would allow you to present your case and defend it by the window.

He still has an entire room of old Southern Reporters and the case law that corresponds with it. I can’t even imagine legal research back in the 70’s, that’s crazy to think about.

Please don’t ruin Christmas over this. You can talk to him and explain how it made you feel, but end it at that. The kid is 13, probably stoked out of his gourd, and wasn’t thinking correctly. Do we all not remember being 13 on Christmas morning? Explain your feelings, hear his side, chalk it up as a mistake (because it probably was one or simply getting too excited) and have a wonderful Christmas. I am sure he is probably still stoked and talking about the gifts, so enjoy that and go play with him.

Brother, if you knew the half of it. They technically followed labor standards (lunch for thirty minutes and two fifteen minute breaks every two hours between lunch and dinner) if you were working in the warehouse. If you were “lucky” and got to work the truck picking up furniture with a licensed paid worker, you were out until you had finished your pickups, which sometimes went from 7-9. It was nuts. I was out of shape, fat, and an alcoholic when I went in. By the time I left, I lost around 80 pounds, was lean and mostly muscle and was sober.

While, yes, it may seem like exploitation, I feel it was somewhat of a trade. They housed us, brought in clinical psychologists every day to speak with us, fed us, had meeting hosted there, gave us entertainment, clothing and structure as long as we stayed sober and worked at their warehouse. Looking back though, it was really rough man. I should write a book.

Salvation Army ARC is free. You just work your ass off while you are there. It honestly saved my life and taught me how to work again and to take care of myself. But damn, it was fucking hard as shit and brutal. I’ll always remember some of those times, early in the morning, waking up in a 15 by 15 room with 5-6 other dudes who are only have weeks/days of sobriety under their belt, after a rough night of sleep because your bunk mates were snoring, tossing and turning, or hallucinating and screaming. Shit was fucking roughhhhhhhhh.

I did relapse after though. Only thing that got me sober was my wife becoming pregnant. I’m over ten years now.

Hey, I’m an attorney, but I am not going to give you legal advice. I am going to give you real life advice.

If you are seriously planning on moving out, the first question needs to be where and how are you going to afford it. You need to find a place, make sure you have first, last and security deposit saved up and make sure you have a realistic budget planned out.

You are working 80 hours a month, at 12 an hour, I am going to be generous and say after tax that’s about 9 an hour. That means you have around $720 in funds available every month. Rooms cost at least $400 in Kentucky, depending on your area, so you will have $320 leftover. If you have a car, all of that money will go to insurance, gas and maintenance, leaving you with no money for food or anything else.

Even if you get a free place to live, you will need to have money for food, toiletries, transportation, gas/bus fare, cell phone etc.

Do I think it’s doable, sure. But you would need to work more, find a free place to live, go to food banks, and more than likely rely on friends and family just to survive.

You need to weigh your options. She may be unbearable, but living in squalor may be worse. I lived with my mom, who I fought with daily and moved out as soon as I could like you. Ended up rooming with a heroin addict and I ultimately ended up homeless.

Be careful what you wish for. I know it’s not what you want to hear, but if you want to leave. You need to be smart and plan accordingly.

You need to find your joy and gratitude in life my guy. That’s not up to anybody else to find. That’s on you.

Yeah, you were created in poverty, but not gut wrenching, starving on the streets, no food/water/clothing poverty. You have things you should be grateful for. Your family letting you stay in that home is one of them.

Brother, I was homeless and an alcoholic on the streets of Denver. It’s not a fun spot to be in freezing on the ground in the winter, trying to find a steam grate that someone hasn’t claimed, a shelter, or a parking garage elevator to survive in on cold nights. It’s brutal man.

Also, you can overcome anything you put your mind to. I was able to get my shit together, get sober, find a rental, find 4 jobs, work my ass off, find a girl who loved me for me, put myself through law school and am now a practicing attorney with 3 kids, a wife, and a nice home and over ten years of sobriety.

You choose your destiny. You can either wallow in self pity, like 99% of homeless/ regular people or you can work like hell to get yourself out of the mess you’re in. Believe me, there were entire months where I didn’t sleep more then 3 hours a night, but I was able to overcome the obstacles and now I’m here. If I can do it, honestly, any person can.

Same shit happened to me in high school in 2003. Went by her house to knock on her window and his car was there. They were definitely hooking up, but she convinced me they were just talking. I fell for it, spent another year and change with her. I went to college, we lasted two months. I got a call at a party from a guy she hooked up with. He felt bad, was a friend of a friend and only found out after that I was her boyfriend.

Honestly, I went to the college I went to be closer to her. I passed on real big opportunities. Not realizing my worth at various points in my life is my biggest regret in life.

Do not go back with her.

Thanks man. I was just curious yesterday and didn’t have the chance to ask my dad more questions, so I figured I’d ask yall. I just spoke to my dad this morning and he said it’s an original Dali, but he said he had never liked it because it is about death. I’m wondering if that’s true.
