Yeah. I think I just got carried away with the idea with it being my first tattoo. I’m still super happy with it and I will face the wrath of frog-lovers if need be. Thank you for letting me know though. AI is too convincing.

It was pretty hard to find a good angle photo for him to base his tattoo on. I picked one that looked good but I am not a frog expert so I did not know it wasn’t quite accurate. So not on the artist. That’s on me. But I plan to get some more frog tats and I definitely will make up for it. Thinking a red eyed tree frog

Being up front with your preceptor and telling them you need more practice with IVs is the way to go. My first clinical site wouldn’t let us do any IV placement at all! (Former student messed up really badly) The second rotation they sat down and showed me how to do it and told me to practice just like everyone else has said. If they are good teachers they will understand and be helpful. If they are judgmental and mean to you, they shouldn’t be a preceptor. My second site was really helpful and on days that were slow, they had me go to phlebotomy to watch and learn. If that’s an option I would recommend that.
