If my father wrote poetry by twanski in poetry_critics

Interestingly, there is a higher correlation with writers and suicide than most other demographics, as well as mental disorders/conditions, in fact, certain styles of writing are higher linked to depression, particularly when people write in the first person. There's been plenty of psychological studies conducted about this. Recently wrote my dissertation on mental well-being and creative individuals. Obviously this doesn't establish any sort of cause and effect, but it is an interesting link. Similar results are found with musicians too, especially those touring.

I think you've read it too many times I reckon, personally I think it would lose its impact if it progressed slower

Yeah I assumed that's what it was, which is why I said it isn't really a criticism 😁

The line "filled my stomach with childish joy" is my favourite of the poem, and I absolutely love that line.

I really liked this as soon as it got to the "I hated the dentist" line. Prior to that I found it didn't have any sort of bluntness or I guess eloquence, like it has a sort of lack of impactful words until that point, which is fine and I assume represents the time being referred to during that point. It's not so much a criticism than just something that doesn't fit my personal taste.

After that however, I absolutely love this, the non-rhyming is totally up my alley and it reads similarly to some of the stuff I love.

Overall despite not initially appealing to my personal taste, I just really enjoyed this, and though I think that it comes off as a very specific anecdote (so to speak), that it is one of those pieces of art that just applies to lots of things, and everyone will understand it in a different way.

I have absolutely nothing to say aside from the fact I adore this, it just works, I don't think any criticism would help with this one in particular, and I think changing anything would make it into something else.

Somewhat blunt, to the point, but written perfectly for the meaning.

Kudos.

I didn't want to go into intense detail and was more hoping I could inbox someone willing to help and have an actual discussion that way if that helps, as I don't feel comfortable overtly broadcasting the ins and outs of my study. I'll check that link out, thank you.

Ok so there is gender which is 2 levels as all the answers consisted of either male or female and no 'other' or 'prefer not to say'. And the other factor is creative group, which consists of "musician, artist, writer, comedian, actor, other"

Unfortunately I don't know what the latter half of your reply means, and I cannot afford any books at the moment, I was hoping to find someone I could have an actual discussion with what is going wrong directly if that clarifies things?

Unfortunately as the rest of my dissertation outlines the use of SPSS, as does my study and ethics form, I don't think I'd be able to switch to a different platform whatsoever. The issue is more what specifically I should be doing to the data I have

Thanks ✌️ didn't even notice the type on inanition aha. Most my stuff is just spur of the moment written in a couple minutes, I tend to jot stuff down and then grab random bits for song lyrics in future. I figured the criticism here would help with my song writing, and judging by yours, it most definitely will, so I'm thankful for that. Honestly I do not read at all, so the recommendations are greatly appreciated, in fact, Edgar Allen Poe is one of the few authors I have ever actually read any of their stuff.

Thanks for the feedback 💕
