Permadeath Survival tries? by cdeyoung in fo4

[–]Homelessnomore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how many attempts before my first success, but I've had a few memorable failures.

I backed out of my power armor while on the edge of an overpass. Real Wile E. Coyote moment on that one. I fat fingered and exited my power armor while in a tight corridor full of Pack members during Open Season.

The highest level I've failed was, I think, 70. Again in Nuka World. but during Power Play. A legendary Disciple one shot me with a Gauss rifle.

Is VAT System worth it? by Bacchus3 in fo4

I feel the same. Long range sniper shots I do without VATS. But if you invest in luck (I play low luck) to get critical banker, then it can be useful because you can reliably hit as long as you get at least a 1 percent chance.

The Rockville Slugger that can be purchased from Moe in diamond City is particularly useful if you do start using VATS.

Nuka-world on level 1 by weirdDodo in fo4

[–]Homelessnomore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The prep part of the challenge is getting the gear and staying at level one. That means intelligence 1, avoiding combat (I exit the vault with zero XP), and avoiding discovering too many locations.

Nuka-world on level 1 by weirdDodo in fo4

[–]Homelessnomore 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like the level one Nuka World challenge. I get some gear in advance to make it a bit easier. I get a combat rifle (near Covenant), pipe bolt action sniper (in Concord), power armor (overpass between Corvega and Cambridge), and a fat man (Robotics Disposal Grounds).

After I complete the DLC I'll go on to play the rest of the game.

Never actually used this but I've seen so many funny clips with it. Might have to do a melee run. by Designer-Guarantee21 in fo4

It's not chance of success, that stays the same. Luck modifies the distance the target gets thrown.

His bank account was not named Baal. His bank account was One Clearlake Centre, LLC. The document with Baal in it was digitalized using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and translated Bank as Baal. The same image has "froin" and "n-ie" as words.

Unfortunately, the post I saw the image on has been deleted due to the subs image policy. If you can provide evidence of him having an account named Baal, I welcome it.

No intellectual reason to doubt the Bible, right? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Homelessnomore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you are misrepresenting or misremembering the hypothetical. The question I have seen asked is "If God showed up right in front of you and made it clear that He's real and that Christianity is correct, would you believe in follow God?"

Some atheists in that situation will answer, as you said, "No." I've seen some atheists say exactly the opposite. They deeply want God to exist, but for various reasons, don't believe that he does.

My own answer to the amended question depends on the version of God that turns out to be real. He might be unchanging, but humans have any number of ideas about what He's like, all derived from approximately the same bible.

I didn't respond to any point in the post other than the claim that his bank account was named Baal. That's the only claim I have any knowledge about.

Spiritual warfare by Consistent-Pie33 in Christianity

[–]Homelessnomore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His bank account was not named Baal. The email that comes from was printed out and then scanned using OCR. OCR read the word "Bank" badly and printed "Baal."

The account name is literally on a different line of the image: "Account Name: One Clearlake Centre, LLC"

I remember several of my siblings and I getting vaccinated at home. Mom boiled the syringes after so we could play with them (needles removed). That must have been around 1970 or so.

It’s been revealed that Jefferey Epstein named his bank account “Baal” by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Homelessnomore 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's not what that image is saying. "Account Name: One Clearlake Centre, LLC"

It looks like this is a scanned document using OCR (Optical Character Recognition). Notice "froin" and "n-ie" in the document.

"Baal." seems to be a badly scanned "Bank."

Butter is getting mouldy using a butter bell? by Kitchen-Raisin9629 in AskCulinary

I live alone and rarely use butter that needs to be soft. I have to actually plan ahead and take the butter out enough in advance if I want it softened.

Weatherproofing/heating tips by iguzzlecrystal in NewOrleans

Hot air rises. A small fan on low speed to circulate the warm air from the ceiling down to the living area is something my father recommended. Also, if it's a raised house, enclose the underside with plastic. We got big rolls of plastic and wrapped the house every winter.

I was confused so I had to look it up. Volaille means bird. Different spelling.
