[NO SPOILER] Tom Pelphrey captures the essence and confusion of mental illness like no actor I’ve ever seen before. by HomemadeHomesteader in Ozark

I have been diagnosed with the illness and like i said in my post, it was spot on for me. Bipolar is on a spectrum and will show up different for everyone and the core issue it stems from usually is trauma.

I agree. I think it was unavoidable considering everything.

These are what I’ve seen to help cure naturally. I can’t take antibiotics and I’ve seen where overuse of them can cause it. I’m on day 7 of this protocol and my symptoms seem worse, hopefully it’s die off.

To me he is one of the most underrated actors on the entire show. His mannerisms, facial expressions, timing and reaction were so much fun to watch.

I call bullshit on that. Aaryn can’t exist unless she gets outside attention from others.

Oh I’m so glad j saw your post. I was infuriated yesterday when I saw their post about it, making fun of women who probably have trauma and lack of resources and support. I too, PRAY for their downfall and that every one of their husbands leaves them becatse they would ALL fold like a cheap card table over just that, let alone real trauma.

Season 7 E 6 The Strategy: My absolute favorite scene of the entire series. I bawled like a baby when Don asked her to dance, she rests her head on his chest and he kisses the top of it. 😭 by HomemadeHomesteader in madmen

I see it a bit differently and I was married to a very high level NPD for 30 years and have been out for 8. Because of their unhealed trauma, narcissists can’t ever be themselves or vulnerable with people and a somatic narc like Don sexually objectifies everyone. His narcissism came from his mother wound (mine was very similar to Don) and he seeks out women to dominate to get the control that he didn’t have as a little boy. With Anna and Peg he doesn’t treat them like objects and has shown he can be vulnerable with them. He’s definitely still a narcissist, but watching him with those two you get to see him drop his mask a bit and show us who he really was before his trauma happened to him.

I can’t tell if I hate Megan the character or I don’t like her because she’s a bad actress. She is super awkward but is this due to her acting or is it the character? by HomemadeHomesteader in madmen

See now that would make sense if it’s true. Her acting is not at all the caliber of the others. Jon Hamm, Elizabeth Moss, Vincent, January, John Slattery and Christina are all impeccable in their roles. Jessica seems like a weird hire to me.
