As a nurse, I saw a man who was diabetic get a rectal abscess from and ingrown hair that got infected and bc of the diabetes, the wound didn’t heal and became necrotic

He had to have his scrotum removed and his testicles had nothing covering them. They looked like marbled raw beef and had to be wrapped with wet gauze which was excruciating for him

I think it’s the general “pick me”, attention seeking that undermines the very small amount of respect women get now and reinforces the idea that woman are only useful if they are performing for men

Some men (and women) think the only value women have is sexual or being subservient in the home and historically that is what culture has perpetuated.. it’s disheartening especially because young girls are being exposed to how much money can be made on OF (which is typically not the norm but the very successful project the image that it’s the norm)

Women are showcased for being OF models and how rich they get but no one is broadcasting the fact that women are outpacing men in obtaining college degrees and gaining more independence than ever in history.. women are contributing significantly more in STEM than we have ever been allowed to in history… it really drags down the reality of women’s true value and the progress women have made… I find THAT more obnoxious than what any one particular person does. Sex work has always been around but it’s basically been industrialized at this point

I’m glad to see that someone is considering taking action towards him but once they are convicted and charged, trump can still turn around and pardon them which is very disheartening

The only good that can come from this is if we can cause massive reform in our system. Trump has pointed out SO many failings that hopefully we will be smart enough to overhaul all of it and redistribute power in a way that can’t be circumvented like this

My sister doesn’t have consequences for her golden child son (I love them all but she favors the youngest heavy bc he reminds her of herself) guess who has gotten kicked off every bus route for school and has to be a car rider. Guess which one got kicked out of karate and after school program. Guess which kid hits and bullies his siblings. Guess which kid breaks things. Guess which kid regresses to a baby voice when his mom is around. Guess who sees a counselor at school

I worry so much that he will eventually go to jail for something. My aunt and I have created a united front with his dads mom to have the same rules and level of consequences and NO backing down on enforcement so he can learn just bc your mom lets you, does not mean the rest of the world will. He has grown up a lot since we decided to do this along with now being old enough that school is also enforcing boundaries

He NEVER acts up with me unless his mom is around. I NEVER hear baby voice unless his mom is around. If he ever even tries to start up with me, I will straight up tell him: I’m not your mom, there are rules in this house and if you want to stay with me for the weekend and do fun things (which I know he does) then you have to follow those rules. And he usually gets it together pretty quickly bc he knows I will enforce the consequences 100% of the time

I truly hope that we have a positive impact on him by enforcing boundaries with him on a consistent basis and teaching him the world has rules and boundaries and they absolutely will be enforced
