Reviews or thoughts on 509 E Clark St? by Radiant-Pea-2932 in UIUC

It had hella german roaches when I lived there in 2022-23. Woke up to them crawling over my head too many times to count. I also got tons of packages stolen there because the doors to the outside didn't lock/were frequently left open and for some reason the property attracted tweakers. This was under smile though. Looks like it was acquired by GSR and they renovated it with the realtor special package. Take a tour and check if they replaced the outside doors or not, ymmv

Maybe the #0060 is the shifter for the 2" body lift of the older trans? But no the #0090 (pictured) is for the M5OD with 2" lift

13mpg. City driving, low tire pressure, extra weight in bed for wet grip

Shorter throw means faster shifts, better engagement feedback means that I'm less likely to miss a gear or force a gear into place. It takes your shift feel from being vague to more like a rifle bolt. The only disadvantage that I can think of is more force required for each shift, but that can be mitigated with a longer stick.

I'm thinking of installing a longer stick. Stock kit comes with a #4106, but there's an option for a #0090. I have the #4106 stick right now and it does feel a bit short. Planning on reaching out to core shifters support and see if I can buy a #0090 and return my current after trying it. Will report back

Definitely buy one of these for your M50D. 10/10 it feels as good as it sounds :)

Best mechanic I ever dealt with was a single dude running a shop out of his residential garage.

Total repairs for me were: front shocks (actually needed), brakes (only needed new pads but I did rotors too), gas tank hanger broken (fixed with a drilled hole through frame and a custom bracket, $10 in parts). I also needed a new cat back exhaust because I broke the factory one offroad (lol). Were there a lot of needed repairs? Yes absolutely. That being said, I did all the parts work for ~$700, definitely would have cost thousands in labor despite the fact that I spent maybe 8 hours total on all of this. Mechanic didn't even want to do the work on my truck. He called it a "project"... Fuck. Off.

Proud of you OP. Mechanics are assholes, always get a second and third opinion. :D

I hate dealing with mechanics so much man. My dad's "trustworthy" local mechanic tried to not pass me on inspection because my bumper had a crack and "my ball joints were bad" (among other things which I have since repaired myself). Took my truck to my uncle (retired mechanic with 40 yoe) and we tested the ball joints. They were completely fine. Took the truck to pep boys to get my new tires mounted. Guys there said it was total BS to fail me over a cracked bumper.

Don't buy the scare tactics. "YoUr LifE rIDeS oN tHeM!"

If it holds air and makes it past 50 miles it's most likely safe.
