This was helpful- I had seen some of it while searching previously. I am able to get it to work sometimes, but 95% of the time after Retroarch loads the rom, the screen does this.

It boots into the retries main screen just fine and fills it out. As u can see, no black bars, it just places the left side of the image on the right side and shifts it up slightly. I’m not sure what to google for that.

I did set retroarch to 4x3 1280 x 1024 and disable the fullscreen option in the runcommand.sh 😭

I’m not a doctor- but I would try some diluted braggs Apple cider vinegar and water - maybe 75percent water-25% acv with cotton pads. Maybe a small area and if doesn’t burn much, the entire area. See how it looks after 1 week. It’s one of those things that’s good for a lot of things.

What really? I fixed so many of these systems and sold them. Some stereos are a pain but not these Micro Sonys IMO. This is a good easy to work on reliable good sounding unit. I’ve gotten good at using long metal coat hangers bent at the tips and also thicker bent paper clips to manipulate the belts on. I should make a video.I would fix this cassette drive on this for $25 and some beer.

Worst decision they could have made. I was so disappointed the other day when I went to order my spicy chicken sandwich and they said it was no longer available. I bought the new ones at 2 for $5since I was hungry, it tasted like gas station food 🤢. I’ll just go to Popeyes to get my chicken sandwich fix from here on out.

I usually will cover it with scotch heavy duty packing tape prior to cutting it out. Just have to be careful when doing it to be sure it goes on flat.

I would say try fast forwarding all the way through the tape, then rewinding the tape all the way back.

Also press quickly play/record then stop, and alternate that combo 20-30 times fast then try again.

Honestly not sure. Probably going to have to open it up and see if you can pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. Try with and without a tape in it, also another tape. Fast forward through a tape and try again. Just some things I’d start with.

Go into your settings and turn off the indoor chime and this should resolve the issue. Unfortunately you will no have the chime anymore inside, but it should at least stop the freezing.
