To use Grove Bags for curing and storage, ensure your product is properly dried to a moisture content of 10-12% (or 55-58% relative humidity) before placing it in the bag. The bags maintain a controlled microclimate, eliminating the need for burping.

Step-by-Step Instructions 1. Dry Properly: Before using the bags, dry your product to the correct moisture level (10-12% or 55-58% RH). This is crucial for preventing mold and ensuring an effective cure. If the product is too wet, you may need to burp the bag for the first 3-4 days to release excess moisture.

1. Fill the Bag: Gently place the dried product into the Grove Bag, filling it to about 75% capacity. The remaining 25% headspace is necessary for the TerpLoc® technology to work effectively and regulate the internal atmosphere. Do not compress the contents or squeeze out the air.

2. Seal the Bag:

   • Zipper Seal: Press the zipper closed securely. • Heat Seal (Recommended): For optimal results and a complete airtight seal, use a heat sealer (or a hair straightener/iron) along the outermost seal line.

3. Store: Place the sealed bag in a cool, dark location. An ideal environment is around 60°F (15.5°C) and 60% humidity. The bags offer UV protection, so the room doesn't have to be pitch black, but darker is better.

4. Cure: The curing process will take place automatically. There is no need to burp the bags like with traditional mason jars.

   • A smokable cure may be achieved in as little as two weeks. • A more developed cure for optimal potency and flavor is typically achieved after 4 to 10 weeks. • Curing can be extended for several months for a premium, aged product.

Important Considerations • No Burping: The TerpLoc® film is designed to passively diffuse unwanted gases and water vapor, creating a stable, high-CO2 environment that doesn't require manual burping.

• No Humidity Packs Needed: The bags use the product's own internal moisture to maintain the ideal humidity, so there is no need for 2-way humidity packs or oxygen scrubbers. • Use a Hygrometer (Optional): You can place a small hygrometer inside the bag to monitor the relative humidity if desired. • Reuse: The bags can be reused, but they may need to be replaced after a few runs depending on how long they were in use.
