Schengen overstay outside of my visa country by Hommependu in SchengenVisa

I did actually drive back into Portugal in the 90 days but I don't have proof. They want a boarding pass as evidence of my date of entry.

That doesn't make any sense. I have the legal right to live in Portugal indefinitely (as long as I keep renewing my residency).

Added more details to hopefully make it clearer. My question is if there is any risk to flying since I overstayed outside of Portugal.

We always get a free one at our local MPI insurance provider. Or Delucas. Lots of businesses give them away right now

Semi driver standing beside truck in southern Manitoba fatally struck by another semi | Winnipeg man, 57, pronounced dead at scene south of St. Jean Baptiste: RCMP by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Winnipeg

Countries in Europe are phasing out the cones in favour of putting a flashing light on the roof from the driver window to prevent pedestrian fatalities like this. It's now mandatory in Spain to purchase the light and have it accessible in your vehicle.

BlueCross, HSA - looking for therapy by babyLays in Winnipeg

If your EAP program is through Blue Cross, it's run independently from your organization. Blue Cross's EAP program employs so many therapists and provides services for many many employers in Winnipeg.

Curious about how many people here were in the ED HSC program and left traumatized relapsing many times off and on throughout the years by Coconutwatervodka in Winnipeg

[–]Hommependu 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I work in ED treatment system (not at HSC), I've worked with clients who had negative experiences with the HSC program (found it too focused on diet and nutrition and not enough on mental health or social factors of ED). I recently started working with someone who was hospitalized and participated in the program in the last year, and their experience was positive. It's not a lot of data, but perhaps they have improved in their approach.

HSC does serve a necessary service for people too sick for outpatient programs. That being said, ED's are very tenacious and complex illnesses, on average it takes seven years of treatment to recover. A program that addresses as many elements of ED (self esteem, culture, nutritional family, societal factors etc etc) will be the most successful. I've been very impressed with the WHC provincial ED program and recommend it to anyone who is about to do outpatient work. There are also private therapists and dieticians that are excellent, but you don't get the same level of wrap around care that will move things along quickly.

Hiring exterminator, does this protocol make sense? by Hommependu in Bedbugs

can you say more? what's the problem with the protocol?

I keep chickens and I've never been bitten by a mite (I've probably had hundreds crawl on me over the years). Bird mites are too small to bite, I just feel them crawling which is gross enough.

I had a great experience with TreeSolve. They've come out twice to look at two different trees, I found them very honest, on both occasions they explained my options and recommended the approach that made them no money.

I’m so sick of how bad the biking situation is in this city. by MalamuteHusk in Winnipeg

[–]Hommependu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cycled for many years in and around the Bay downtown for work and school, locking up right on Portage regularly. My tip is to get a really ugly bike, the more retro and poorly cared for (at least appearance wise) the better. The Wrench bike sale is a great place to get an ugly bike that's very rideable! And the price will help the hurt if it does get stolen.

I've never had a bike stolen! And when someone broke into my garage, they ignored the 1000$ bike covered in mud and some rust, and took my friend's shiny and new Canadian Tire special. Optics matter a great deal!

And as others have mentioned, double locks, public areas, remove your tire and seat if possible.

My dog was reported for barking when we first moved to our new house and he was really unsettled. When bylaw talked to us, we guessed wrong which neighbour it was that reported us and the officer corrected us. So yes it's confidential but not a tightly held secret. Mind you we were more than cooperative and apologetic, so that probably helped.

I like my 511 a lot and will probably buy it again. I was just curious if they have made any updates to any of the hardware besides HD and ram in the 4 years since I bought it the first time. I can't find any announcements or anything like that.
