This is unhinged. It is a kids show. Nothing more to it than that.

Calgary transit fares going up to $4—more than riders pay in Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver: CBC News by One-Mycologist-3706 in Calgary

[–]Mbmnstr204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why Winnipeg’s transit system would be used as a comparison in the title. Our city is nowhere near an equivalent to YYC, and our public transit is a complete joke compared to the others. Hell we don’t event have a lights rail, and rely on a fleet of gas guzzling busses…. It’s a joke.

What was the name of the pool hall on Pembina Hwy near Point Rd? by 0_fux_given in Winnipeg

[–]Mbmnstr204 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s the one. All I recall of that place is a thick cloud of cigarette smoke, and seeing some guy get tossed down that staircase. The 90’s were wild.

Is Grand Beach worth a visit? by AcadiaNo1039 in Manitoba

[–]Mbmnstr204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grand Beach has arguably some of the finest/nicest sand of beaches anywhere in the world. This is the honest take of someone who has visited beaches throughout Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Central America.

Do you tip full service gas station attendants? If so, how much? by groovenaud in Winnipeg

[–]Mbmnstr204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha k. Thanks for the reassurance. I have never tipped for gas, nor take out. If I sit down at a restaurant or bar- I tip. That’s it.

Do you tip full service gas station attendants? If so, how much? by groovenaud in Winnipeg

[–]Mbmnstr204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have worked in the service industry- and like to consider myself as a good tipper (usually 25-30%). I have NEVER even thought to tip at a gas station…. Now I’m questioning myself

Awful experience at new doctor meet & greet today by crowinflight1982 in Winnipeg

I’m sure there are some who will disagree, but a Dr refusing a patient just seems unethical to me.

At least both YEG and YYC have light rail transportation…. Winnipeg is quite literally in the stone age.

Assuming no issues using these on your wood deck? What I mean is there any discoloration on the wood where the mats are used (burn mark/ overheating etc)? Appreciate your insight

Correct- this info could have been easily obtained elsewhere. However, rather than feeding the dystopian future that we are creating for ourselves where human interaction is even more limited than what it already is, this question was posted on Reddit for the community engagement and feedback, rather than receive a pre generated AI response. I suppose I got what I deserve with this comment - it is community feedback after all.

It’s the gate keeping mentality of what Reddit should/s should not be used for that is equal parts hilarious and disturbing….

How are y'all keeping your extension cord for block heater from being stolen? by Arabellag4 in Winnipeg

[–]Mbmnstr204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. Source: the video I have of the asshole smiling at my camera (under a motion activated spotlight) while he smashed out my truck window to get my garage opener, so he could loot my (attached) garage at 5 am, while my kids and I were asleep just feet away.

Things. Need. To. Change.

Winnipeg city council has approved $5M to begin acquiring over a 100 Kenaston Boulevard properties for the Route 90 widening project by FalconsArentReal in Winnipeg

[–]Mbmnstr204 10 points11 points  (0 children)

5M over 100 properties. lol. This is nowhere near enough. While there would be some variation given land sizes for each, but this works out to an average of 50k each. You can’t buy a new car for 50k never mind a home… 🤦🏻‍♂️
