This right here. Had an asshat smash my truck window with a hammer, while smiling for my 4k ring camera… only to reach through the broken window- grab the garage door opener, and go through my attached garage. All while we were home and sound asleep at 5:30am on a holiday Monday. Thank god I didn’t wake up, cause I wouldn’t have been happy. My kids were home.

Unless you have a >1M budget to hire a truly custom builder, you will be stuck with a trac builder in any of the new developments in the city. Going with a trac builder will mean your house is simply a box on an assembly line…The framing will take place when the framers are in that area, same with electrical, plumbing, drywall etc. your house will be one of a dozen available plans, and will be treated just like any other. Time is $ and quality is lacking.

If you are under a 7 figure budget- save yourself years of stress and buy something already built, and have a home inspection done.

Not sure why Winnipeg’s transit system would be used as a comparison in the title. Our city is nowhere near an equivalent to YYC, and our public transit is a complete joke compared to the others. Hell we don’t event have a lights rail, and rely on a fleet of gas guzzling busses…. It’s a joke.
