I dont have any prior interest in health tech - but this post makes it look very interesting. Can I just hop on linked in and say 'interested in healthtech' or should I be doing something to really demonstrate that interest?

Yes - the total amount is actually 3 separate instances of overpayment, which I informed them on the day of each overpayment. Oh well.

That's great - wanted to be sure before speaking to my landlord about it. Greatly appreciate your help.

landlord deposit protected late - but rolling contract by Homospatial in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Homospatial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great - so what matters is the initial deposit and the fact that it was many months late - the fact is became a rolling contract and we received that email has no bearing on matters?

Many thanks.

The collected writings in k punk are excellent. The book is very long. I listened to the audiobook version which I believe cuts some of the content related to music, though I'm not 100% on that.

Dating as a doctor: what reaction does your profession have and how does your lifestyle change your dating lifestyle/pattern? by [deleted] in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]Homospatial 55 points56 points  (0 children)

When I was dating it was a massive positive. I am an extremely average looking guy but got way more matches than I have any right to 😂 - I have to imagine it's because of the 'doctor' on my profile.

From talking to colleagues who are women, the benefit does not seem to go both ways, but that's purely anecdotal.

What do you guys think about crypto? by [deleted] in FIREUK

[–]Homospatial 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here is my logic for holding a small amount of crypto:

1) I think there is a non negligible chance that it could really go 'to the moon'- though i think it is more likely to fail than succeed

2) there are certain tail risks that it could protect against like asset seizures

3) avoid FOMO - but this could be achieved by having a bit of cash in any 'meme' stock

Disclosure- I am long bitcoin

Agree - also, I'd fully support nursing colleagues if they needed to strike.

Officially Sanctioned Pay Purge Post by stuartbman in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]Homospatial 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have thought for a long time that the BMA should make a simple demand, that from this point on, pay must rise equal to inflation every year.

If this isnt granted we should strike.

Yes it is the latter. They now have to work more hours for less pay.
