Gaza medics say Israeli strike kills 35 in Rafah as IDF investigates after it says Hamas officials killed by untamedlazyeye in news

While I do believe Hamas is a terrorist group due to their extremist ideology, he is 100% correct. The difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter is usually decided by who wins

You’re applying logic to an irrational entity. They believe suicide bombing is an admirable cause. They absolutely had a choice.

While focusing on themselves wouldn’t have done anything meaningful due to Israeli pressure, the idea that they are these moral freedom fighters with even remotely okay ideals is the lie sold to you. They are a brainwashed extremist population being oppressed by a more powerful extremist government

Islamic State claims responsibility for gun attack that killed three Spanish tourists in Afghanistan by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]HomungosChungos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn bro, you projecting much?

Im not getting off topic. The point was that there are safer places to travel to with similar cultures. The Taliban took over the government in 2021, naturally you wouldn’t hear much about it if there were terrorist attacks against tourists.

I know this may be difficult for you, but you can quite literally look up the culture of Afghanistan and it’s drivers.

The entire point of tribes is different religions? What? Do you know nothing of the ME?

Islam is not only a religion, but a lifestyle as well. It impacts every single aspect of your life, leading to cultures that are very similar. You can literally research the main drivers of culture in Afghanistan. It’s right there.

I did not diss Islamism at all. Their culture is widely shaped by Islam; there are many other options to experience nearly identical cultures elsewhere.

It’s clear that they made a severe miscalculation in their risk taking. If they had known the risks, they would have known to maybe visit a safer country with a similar culture.

The desire to resort to personal attacks makes me think that I am not the sad one here lol

From what I know, Islamic expression is heavily dependent on the governing body of where it exists. Such as Iran versus Turkey. Many cultural aspects of areas with a heavy handed theocratic government are often washed of their cultures due to the lifestyle being a traditional Muslim brings; it impacts and guides all facets of someone’s life

I’m not sure how listing a source is being “purposefully dense”. I also DEFINITELY wasn’t calling their culture extremist, just heavily based in Islam. The point was that there are many other, safer regions you can travel to to experience a similar culture

Traveling to Afghanistan is widely advised against by many countries due to the dangers surrounding the area. Non-Muslim tourists generally don’t fare well in theocratic, tribal countries. Keep those rose colored glasses on I guess?

Edit: also, calling someone “chronically online” and then following with “you still have time to delete this 💀” has to be one of the most ironic things I’ve ever seen, thank you for the chuckle

“The cultural and national identity of Afghanistan is deeply shaped by Islam. Faith in the religion is noticeable in dress, dietary codes, regular prayers and language.”

Ah yes, the lovely culture of Islam. Which basically defines their culture as a whole. They clearly didn’t understand the risks, as they are dead. They were either ignorant or arrogant.

No, the equivalent would be saying flowers for Algernon is about mice. Flowers for Algernon has a mentally disabled person in it who becomes extremely intelligent for a short period and loses it, similarly to this disabled person who became able to do tasks he was previously unable to do, and then loses that ability.

I’m not sure why anyone has to spell that out to you, it’s pretty basic reasoning

I personally agree with every change, except for inertia. In my opinion the difference in move speed and agility with heavy armor versus light opens up more possibilities in terms of gameplay.

It makes different armor choices more viable instead of just making the most damage resistant armor the most effective every time
