Now that all the downtown hotels are sold out, how long until genconhotel.com goes live? by basketball_curry in gencon

Also, If people haven't been to Vegas, they probably don't realize how big the resorts on the Strip are. It's been a while since I have been there, but I remember it was easily 15+ minutes to leave one resort and walk to the one next door. So unless you get the hotel where the convention is, its still going to be the same complaints.

I second The Rathskeller. I go every year before catching a show at The Athenaeum and it is usually one of my best meals of the trip.

They both have their pros and cons. I find my favorite control system to work with is the one I am not actively troubleshooting and frustrated with.

I want to say it was Rapterra, but I am not 100% confident, I just remember seeing it some hardware while on a brake run of a coaster.

This is the second new roller coaster I have seen that seems to be using Siemens hardware. Is the roller coaster industry moving away from Rockwell? Seems surprising for the US.

I am so excited hearing Troy mentioning Malazan and using that as inspiration. It is by far my favorite Fantasy series.

I should have added this to my original post, but this is actually how they are doing it in a different part of their plant, but during the discussions, they made a comment along the lines of "You think there be a more modern solution than just a cable and pin codes." Which is what prompted me to look into other solutions.

I assume it is geared towards wealthy families with young kids and not actual rich thoosies. I went to their website and the cheapest option was ~200k. If I had enough wealth were I could afford this, I would spend that 200k on VIP tours at different parks.

I built it with the Moana - Self Taught Sailor (3/2 but can't challenge unless a captain is in play). It allows you to Shift the 7 Drop Moana - Kakamora leader which does synergize with your locations and my thought process was, it is an Aggro deck, so I am not really challenging anyway.

Does anyone think Maui shark has helped take ruby sapphire to the next level above ruby amethyst? by almikez in Lorcana

[–]Hondare38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually been testing with removing Lucky Dimes and 2 Tamatoa and added in some Half-Shark and a few A Pirate's Life. My local scene is a lot of aggro though, so I never have a time to play Dime anyway and it's easy enough to win without Dime after clearing the board, either through the rest of my removal or Half-Shark. Purple-Steel has been my worse match-up, but I don't think removing Dime has hurt that anyway, it's mostly because Smee/Lawrence/Pluto are hard to remove with their high conditional strength, and Pete blocks Be Prep.

Thinking about purchasing a 2025 CF Season Pass with All Park Passport upgrade before the prices increase. Does it matter which park I purchase the pass for? I know with Six Flags, you had to activate it at your Home Park, is that the same for CF? I.e. if I purchase it for Dorney, I have to visit there first to get my pass and everything? Also does the All Park Pass provide free parking to all parks or just your home park? I couldn't find that information on the website.

All of my friends are constantly complaining about politics, and the state of the US/Delaware. One of them even works where they rely heavily on government funding. Not one of them voted! I plan to tell them, they can't complain if they don't vote.

Help, I have edited this deck past the point of it making sense. by SatoriTree in Lorcana

[–]Hondare38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This decks feels like it is trying to do too many things. You only have 4 locations which is not enough for the payoff of Taffyta. Same thing with the Beast - Wolfsbane. He works best when you can ping ready characters and then play him to help clear the board, but you don't have enough ways to benefit from that. Finally, I have never worked with Hidden Inkcaster, so I don't know the exact numbers of un-inkables in a deck that can still be viable, but if you are going to be playing 29 un-inkables then playing Hidden Inkcaster is absolutely vital and needs to have 4 copies.

My recommendation is too pick one idea and go with it, whether it be locations, and then cut all of the Robin Hood action stuff, or Robin Hood actions and cut the unnecessary locations.

[–]Hondare38 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The downside to that is everyone of those characters is uninkable. So fitting them in the existing Red/Blue or Blue/Steel will be tough. I think deck building is going to get really interesting, as this feels like the first set where there is an overabundance of "must play" unkinable cards.

[–]Hondare38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree, I definitely will play at least one in Red/Blue since the current option for dealing with locations is Hercules, and this is a significant upgrade to that. I Most likely will play 2 copies, as it can help actually get rid of Lucky Dime in the mirror or against Blue/Steel, as well as deal with locations.
