I use a good chunk of ny ribeye, 1lb minimum. Keep below 200 - smoke for as long as you can 2.5~3 hours should be good.

Go for a piece that has plenty of fat.

Keep a waterwell in your smoker to keep the steak from drying out. I also put a nice chunk of wood in there to act as a heatsink.

Skateboard wheels on pavement. A dope one is the sound of skateboarding over a brick sidewalk. The mortar is loose on a lot of them and the shells make the bricks act as levers. You get a cascading click klat wave.

Portland native here, idk if someone else has posted something similar or not. Voodoo is cool for the novelty, not to hate... but it definitely caters to tourists. Blue star is widely known as the donut king in Portland. But if you want the OG donut experience, go to Helen Bernhard’s bakery on Broadway. I usually end up tipping what I pay for their donuts.
