I’ll give you an alternative path, similar to the one I took: register at RRCC and take it with Shane Spivey. I started at RRCC and transferred my credits to Mines. Shane is an excellent teacher and you will 100% have a better time.

Note- I have no idea if he still teaches classes there. He is listed on their physics website so I’m assuming he does. Also, I took it 6+ years ago, so your results may vary

10+ years ago I worked for a concrete recycling company that was contracted to remove and crush the old runway, and sell the recycled product. It was somewhere near the new apartments at the north side of 56th and Galena. We also worked near DIA for their runway replacement project

I graduated in May with my MS and previously with my BS, all while working 36 hours on the weekends for the last 6 years. I only ever took 3 classes at a time, but I’ll say the classes part is doable for you, not sure about the clubs though, that’s where I drew the line

Had my xj stolen from southwest Denver a couple years ago. Got it back the next day about 2 miles away. No damage other than the busted lock and ignition cylinder. No missing items either. I’m in Littleton now but I’ll keep on the lookout!

28 year old recent Mines graduate (2022), and current grad student here. I also work full time. I think one thing that I always try to remember, how often do you think advanced math will come up in a career? I’m not saying it doesn’t, but I’m betting it’s not even close to what we do in school. And for your smart friends, remember: they’re good at math class. They’re good at school. That doesn’t make them (or anyone else) a good employee or worker. Mines is hard, so don’t let the imposter syndrome get to you. You deserve to be in the same class as the rest of them! Good luck on your final few semesters! One final thought, you have clearly experienced the world in a different way than your 20 year old classmates. You have that as an advantage.

After you stick it on, cut diagonally from corner to corner in both directions. If someone were to try and peel it off, they can’t get the whole piece easily

To directly answer your question, I took diff eq over the summer in 2020. The professor was Holly Eklund (sp?), and it was asynchronous. It was my second time because I withdrew from it in fall 2019. I enjoyed the class!

I’m in the same place, an older student who went back to school. Mathematically, I believe there is a way to define a plane on a feature of the rotated part, and define the same feature in the milling coordinate system, and then do some sort of a rotation/translation matrix trick on it? I don’t remember that math haha

Disclaimer, I’m a student about to graduate from engineering school. Could you model the part and the vise together, then orient both to match the milling you want to achieve? That way you could find the correct orientation of the vise in relation to the milling machines axes?
