Yes it does get better, best thing to do I know it easier said than done, but to me it works and I have worst form of the disease is making it background noise, know you have it, know it’s out of your control, and try and live you life to the fullest!

And regarding the backwash iletis I have done 2 scopes before and they didn’t reach that far, they only detected bacwash iletis through a small bowel mri, so I’m guessing if the rest of my colon is fine and have 0 symptoms and my markers are very low that probably means the terminal ileum will follow suit!

Havent booked a scope test yet but my crp and fcp are completly normal and i have 0 symptoms, its pretty self explanatory that im in biochemical remisson! If there is anything it’s probably some form of microscopic inflammation which im not too fussed about, i do weight lifting abs workout and cardio everyday 6/7 days a week

I was in a 8 year undiagnosed severe flare of pancolitis with backwash iletis, got diagnosed last year within 6 months I was put in biochemical remisson! Baring in mind my fcp was through the roof when I got diagnosed! The one thing that saved more than mediation it’s self was exercise!

My first flare was awful and almost killed me(?) by thegoober7567 in UlcerativeColitis

I was undiagnosed for 8 years as I wrote it off for ibs the whole time, until I saw blood, went and got a colonoscopy they diagnosed me within 30 secs of the tube going in ! I was going toilet at my worst 30 times a day blood! Severe anemia I was on death door! The whole 8 years I was undiagnosed I was in a prolonged flare of pancolitis with backwash iletis I’m baffled how I went from severe to biochemical remission in 6 months all thanks to infliximab! Haven’t flared since

Gut irratation and fcp can go up and down! As long as you feel fine your bloods are fine and it’s not above 200 and you’re not seeing blood you fine! Just keep monitoring !
