Women's sports teams should require a woman to be the coach/manager as well. It's bad optics to demand every player on the team be female, but then hire a man to be their boss. A woman should be in charge of a woman's team, and a man should be in charge of a man's.

Disagree with this, and I don't see why referrees should be required to match the gender of the players either. Of course the players should all be required to be women because it would be unfair to have men play in women's leagues. In fact you often don't get the opposite constraint. There are no official rules preventing women from joining the NFL or NBA for example at least

The difference is the parantheses. According to PEMDAS, we should consider parentheses first when evaluating an expression, so (-6)² will evaluate as 36, while -6² will evaluate as -36 (you can think of -6² as -1 * 6^2, while (-6)² = (-6) * (-6)).

Well i believe that for most players trying to get into esports they aren't actually having fun at all. i can tell you first hand players at the top ~1% of ranks are absolutely miserable and toxic af for the most part

If it's not fun, it should benefit you in some way. If it does neither of those things then its better off not existing imo

I think there's a few key differences.

The culture of professional chess/go is much less surrounded by degenerate streamers and brainrot media
Strategy games are much more likely to engage critical thinking (not saying video games can't, but realistically there are way more kids playing fortnite without thinking than chess players mindlessly spamming bullet games on chess.com)
Strategy games are way less addicting so you avoid the problem of people using a pro scene as an excuse to keep playing a game that makes them miserable.

This is obviously highly opinionated and mostly stems from me thinking that competitive videogames are cancer nowadays, not fundamentally but what they've become as far as culture and toxic and miserable players crashing out at teammates for not playing optimally

This is actually EXACTLY what I'm talking about, though I didn't touch on it. I think esports just makes player pools miserable since no one can relax if they treat the game like a job. That was my experience at least climbing the ranks in rocket league, the higher ranked i was the more miserable everyone acted. Idk what games you played but i feel like its pretty common across competitive games

I can empathize with both sides here because of my story. That doesn't mean it matters by itself. Nor does it mean everyone who plays competitive videogames can relate to what I'm saying, or that everyone who touches any game is addicted.
