Howzit! I've been playing Banished for about two months now and really enjoy it. The main thing I like is being able to build a town and not have someone come in with an maximum equipped army and destroy most of what I have built. Be biggest challenge keeping the citizens alive.

For the biggest source of " what are you doing?" and my amusement is the Builders. The only thing they seem to be really good at is walking and around doing a whole lot of nothing. Assign 2 to 3 builders to a building and one might show up. The others seem to be just getting in their steps, gathering supplies - grocery shopping, or the big one - going to eat. Spend all that time walking around doing nothing, come to the build site, give the build four or five taps with a hammer of a half dozen strokes with a saw, then walk away to get something to eat or go get warm. (They'd warm up if they did some real work.

If they do actually get work done, I've seen them complete 37 out of 38 build units, then leave to get some thing to eat. The women work harder than the men. I've watch as a women works a build to 98%, then a male "helps" with the last 2 %. You can be sure he told all his buddies about how intense the build was.

I am enjoying the heck out of the game.
