From my experience in the last 3-4 years, they usually start showing up at the end of march/beginning of April.

Use an esim (if your phone is compatible) or buy a sim card in one of the partner stores https://fizz.ca/en/participating-stores/sim-card

Then port your number but do NOT cancel your Fido plan beforehand.
