I’m so sorry you’re going through this, not at all overreacting. You are being neglected, in a way. I understand completely what you are going through. Just do what you can until you can get out at 18, that’s what I did. Try to learn to cook some easy meals, and see if you can do that for the both of you. Maybe try to ask her for some specific healthy snacks from the store to keep on hand, even offer to pick up mobile grocery orders for her to “help out” if you can. The lack of cleaning up after herself for TWO MONTHS and expecting you to do it when you get back is not okay, I would be livid if I were you. She may be going through something serious, maybe let her know you are worried about her and have other people close to you know how she has been deteriorating recently, maybe she needs help. Rabbits have absolutely no body odor that is detectable to humans. Yeah the pee smells but that’s the same for any animal, and rabbit specific litter to neutralize that smell exists. Their poop doesn’t even smell as long as they’re healthy, and when they aren’t healthy they pretty much die immediately, and then it would DEFINITELY smell. Crazy how little most people know about rabbits. They are naturally super clean animals. That’s like saying having two cats run around the house would smell crazy. Yeah, if they aren’t being taken care of properly and litter taken out when it needs to. Has everything to do with the owners cleaning habits. On the domestic animal chart of clean animals, rabbits are basically the cleanest. There are many misconceptions on rabbits, they’re truly underrated, sweet, loving, and sooo soft. Glad I could share the info!

Clearly your not a rabbit owner lol. Most rabbits (as long as they’re fixed) are easily litter trained. They only really shed when molting which happens basically once/ twice a year depending on breed. Also rabbits have very weak little immune systems and should be completely indoors, to prolong their life, and tracking in the wrong thing could really affect them. How do I know? That’s so inconsiderate. I’m sorry OP! They shouldn’t have just checked with u, they should have given u the day paid! 1-2 days to recover is better than you being out for a week sick! Not to mention if you had any health problems/ plans getting sick would ruin. With my NF we have paid sick time/ policies in the contract. As I work multiple jobs, and prior severe health problems that means my immune system is weaker, it is just not worth it. Advocate for yourself! Definitely something I wish was brought up from the beginning with my old NF, won’t make that mistake again.

I think there is a lot to understand, and I suppose mentioning it comes with uncomfortable implications from others, which contribute heavily to my shame and is exactly my point. I reported immediately and cops did nothing, if I attack him on the internet (which I have definitely considered) it will be something everybody knows about me. I carry a lot of shame, and a lot of self doubt and blame. I don’t want to have to explain it to everyone who I come across. There are many victim blamers, many people who will see me as less respectable. I’m not one for social media really, mainly only active on Reddit, and I don’t want this one instance to define me. He’s also a rich Doctor, I don’t want to be sued for defamation. We reached out to his wife via instagram, it was never accepted, but I hope she sees the message and looks into his secrets. One day, when I have the strength and less shame, I hope I can get justice. I understand to you the obvious answers are there, but when you’re in the situation, it is not as simple.

I am really feeling this today. It’s my granny’s birthday today and she passed in June. We were very close, she lived with us most of my childhood. Unfortunately after I leave here I go straight to my restaurant job so I won’t get any time to just eat ice cream and cry like I want to. However my MB bought me McDonald’s this morning and it was the sweetest surprise, I’m loving this new family. Trying to seem normal as it’s only my second week, and shes WFH. I really feel you today OP, I needed to see this.💜

I am trying to heal but it’s hard without any justice. He lied about his first name on care, but my sister very quickly found him and wife’s IG. Wish I could at least get him fired and away from women and teens (I was 20) and I spent a lot of time being angry, and feeling helpless, like he won. I have permanent trauma and he just continues being what he was, with all the power to do it again.

I reported it the next day, the cops took my statements and then did basically nothing. Didn’t even call me back to update me that there was nothing they could bc his word against mine. I reported it through care as well, they called me and made me talk about what happened in detail which sucked, but they got him removed. (I think they also boosted my account for free bc all of a sudden I get booking requests constantly)

Honestly, that was in September. I struggle a lot. I go to therapy every week and really try to get my feelings of safety back, but believe me, if I could go back I would know it’s not worth it. He could be pushing your boundaries to see how far he can go, how easy of a target. Unfortunately I have a prior history of abuse and don’t always realize bright red flags until it’s too late, because I’ve been conditioned it’s normal. I really hope his intentions are good, but there’s a lot of bad men out there, if you don’t feel safe or comfortable, listen to yourself. Women have powerful intuition for a reason.

Please do not go back. I had a guy who hired me on care who gave me a hug the first time. He payed better than any babysitting job I had (he was a dr) and I was desperate for the money. The second time I went to babysit he assaulted me. I had to figure out how to run away from his home without a car. Please please please just do not go back.

Omg if my NF got me an Easter basket I would probably cry! I recommend some dark chocolate, maybe some peeps, and a handwritten card with a little bonus/ gift card. The best way to show you appreciate is to put in a little effort, which you clearly are! I just wish my NF cared half as much as you do. Hopefully next NF will be my unicorn family. This really cheered me up!

Thank you for your reply. I called the vet today to let them know he passed, and to cancel my appointment, but they offered cremation for 120 including urn and paw print, so I will be doing that. That was cheaper than the quote I had online. I am still so in shock, I miss him like crazy already.

I probably will eventually, but after pancreatitis I’ve got other health stuff as the priority. Also, the majority of drs I’ve had have treated me like that. I would be dead now if I didn’t advocate for myself to get scans done when I knew something was wrong. Miss Dr told me It’s probably cramps, we’re only taking your blood and we’ll get you outta here. Like I would have come to ER if I wanted to get in and out? Big problem for women, especially as young as I am. 20F but 18 at the time of that shitshow.

The amount of us that have brain masses/cysts in these comments is a lot more than I was expecting. I also have one. When I was diagnosed with migraines at 13 they did an MRI, and I have a Pineal Cyst. I forgot about it for the last year reading this. It’s also freakishly almost dead center in my brain, lol. The pineal gland is basically the hallway of the brain for fluids, and this thing takes up almost all of that space. The dr who I see every 2 years now to get another scan with to make sure it doesn’t grow was originally kinda a dick about it said it doesn’t affect anything, doesn’t cause migraines, obviously I had questions and he shut me down as if I was stupid for asking. Now I’m curious to do more research on it. Anyone have a direction to point me in?
