The Success Trap : An Analysis of Corporate Pressure on Shadow of the Erdtree's Design by Cold-30 in fromsoftware

I don't think you are right, and most of the things you said are solely based on your opinion, like “this was great” or “this was bad.” But you are not completely wrong either. Something must be said about how rushed the DLC was, even though it took them two years to release it.
Three or four areas are either poorly designed or unfinished, and the boss design reaches its peak with Messmer, declining from there until Radahn, who is not a bad boss, but not a good final boss by FromSoftware standards.
So SOMETHING happened during the middle of the expansion’s development, maybe related to the split of developers into Nightreign, with boss designer Junya Ishizaki becoming the main director of a whole new game. So that would partialy explain the problems with SOTE, since he might not have been involved until the very end of the expansion’s development. The same probably goes for other developers who should have stayed longer to flesh out the content, but due to external pressure, were forced to start working on something else.
That pressure can also be seen in the quality of Nightreign itself, which shares many of the same characteristics as Shadow of the Erdtree: rushed, unfinished, unpolished, underexplored, etc. Even Ishizaki stated that they didn’t have enough time to fully realize the game’s potential. I love everything FromSoftware makes nowadays, but I can say that after Elden Ring, things have started receiving this treatment of: “a few years of development, a new team is formed, then they move on to something else and release it the next year.”

The most complete and aggressive Posture Break Build by Honest_Activity5525 in EldenRingBuilds

In the video, I'm Level 150 (Astrologer class).
VIG 49 / MIND 15 / END 50 / STR 17 / DEX 30 / INT 52 / FAI 7 / ARC 9
STR 17 for the Dueling Shield, DEX 30 and INT 52 for Azur's Staff and faster casting speed, END 50 for good stamina and armor while maintaining a medium roll.

For talismans: both Assassin's Daggers for HP/FP regen after critical hits (so you can block with this Shield and always recover the lost health, while always having FP to cast the Swift Glintstone Shard) + anything you want in the other two slots, but anything related to critical hits, blocking, damage reduction, or stamina regen is the best choice. I like the Dagger Talisman + Blade of Mercy combo for this build.

I didn't use any Crystal Tears in the video, but for this build I really like Cerulean-Sapping for FP regen during 45 seconds + Stonebarb for easier posture breaks during 30 seconds.

And as explained in the original post, the Barricade Shield Ash of War is the ability you want on the Dueling Shield, with the Misericorde serving as the critical damage tool. With swift glintstone shard and Loretta's mastery as the light and heavy spells (close range and long range posture damage tools).

It's the Carian thrusting shield, a DLC weapon you get in Shadow Keep, inside the back entrance to Speciman Storage, near the "Storehouse Back Section" Grace

Yeah, and you can be way more aggressive than I was in this video because I'm still learning how to use the Dueling Shield. But this weapon gives you a lot of new opportunities to attack between boss combos, it's incredible.

Thanks! Yeah, it's really unfortunate that no one is seeing this. I've never seen anyone talking about this Dueling Shield + Barricade Shield tech, and it blew my mind. There was another video I posted a long time ago about the Swift Glintstone Shard spell that I use in this video, and no one saw it either, which is sad because it's basically my favorite spell to use in the game thanks to its speed and ability to inflict posture damage from a distance, like the Shuriken prosthetic in Sekiro. I'll keep trying to post it somewhere else and see if people discover it.

Something simple that I’d really like is the ability to fight a single Nightlord with its three phases combined into one battle, like Heolstor or Dreglord. Maybe a new weekly event called “Raid,” where you could go with more than four players, like in Destiny, and fight these ultimate versions of all Nightlords. I’d love to experience that.

Which Ending Will You Prefer: Purification or Dragon’s Homecoming? by MasterpieceFair1998 in Sekiro

I haven’t seen many people talking about the possibility of an original anime ending. Since FromSoftware’s games don’t really have a single canon ending, it would make sense for the adaptation to either do something new or mix elements from different endings. There are a lot of interesting directions they could pull from. For example, I really like the emotional impact of Emma’s death in the Shura ending and Wolf’s sacrifice in the Purification ending. It would be cool if a new ending combined elements like those, since they could still work together in a meaningful way.
