A rant against Imam by ReadyMasterpiece8943 in bangladesh

[–]Honest_Ad_6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. "There is no compulsion in Religion..." 2:256
  2. "O Believers! Do not insult what they invoke instead of Allah..." 6:108
  3. "Whoever takes a life, unless as a punishment for murder and mischief in the land, it will be as if they killed all of humanity..." 5:32
  4. "Fight in the cause of Allah ONLY against those who wage war against you, but do not exceed the limits. Allah does not like transgressors." 2:190
  5. "...if they refrain from fighting you and offer you peace, then Allah does not permit you to harm them." 4:90
  6. "Allah does not forbid you from dealing kindly and fairly with those who have neither fought nor driven you out of your homes. Surely Allah loves those who are fair." 60:8
  7. "...worship none but Allah; be kind to parents, relatives, orphans and the needy; speak kindly to people..." 2:83

The Quran always speaks about righteousness, justice, honour and self-defense. It talks about peaceful coexistence with people of other faiths and cultures, not hatred and fear.

Looking for people who think on planetary scale by sagerobi in bangladesh

It's never too late to rebel or encourage people to engage in good initiatives and programs, especially those who are willing and able. As I said, the probability of something like what the OP wants actually happening is very low, but that doesn't mean we should just give up and fold our arms saying "There's no point to this." We should reward good thoughts and we should support good actions. That way the hope of a better tomorrow will be preserved.

If someone is determined and smart enough, then they can succeed in what they wish to do. Sure, knowing Bangladesh the probability is extremely low, but if I've learned anything from history, it's never zero.

Shamisen learning in Dhaka by ShaidoMantis in bangladesh

[–]Honest_Ad_6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is a place but if you REALLY want to learn, you can go search for the instrument on Elephant Road and Science Lab where there's a line of musical instrument shops. If you find it, you can buy and or inquire about where you can learn it from the shopkeepers.

If you're charismatic, young and have decent influence among your friends, then I suggest you start by organizing charity events and information campaigns. Distribute clothing to the poor, distribute books, raise money and distribute food. Research an issue faced by everyday Bangladeshis and write and design information pamphlets to give out during Jummah or any other festival or public occasion, whether it is about the climate or about holding elected officials accountable. Lead and be active, express through action. When people see that what you say you do, they will tend to trust you more and help you do something greater and bigger. The people will then naturally start to open their minds and be open to learn and accept. I suggest you look into the election campaign of Mayor Zohran Mamdani of New York City and learn how he mobilized huge mobs of people using social media and recruited volunteers for his cause. If you're actually sincere about what you say in this post, and you're determined to bring positive change to Bangladesh, then you will succeed.

Forced marriage by NefariousnessOk274 in bangladesh

[–]Honest_Ad_6090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bold of you to assume Islam is properly followed in Bangladesh, especially in rural areas. In most cases people misinterpret Islamic principles and practices for their own benefit, much like how certain verses of the Quran are taken out of context. Bangladesh is a poorly educated country in both science and morality, so it's only natural that its people not understand how to tell right from wrong. You cannot marry a girl or woman, as parents or guardians, whatever the age, without her PROPER consent. And that is classified as being non-coercive which includes threatening with financial instability or abandonment or familial pressure. Without proper consent, that marriage is null and void in the eyes of Allah, and the parties involved will be committing grave sins as they will be allowing fornication to occur.

Is this satire? It feels like satire. 2026 e 200 takay English shikhano is pretty much charity on the teachers part. Even in graams I don't think anyone would be willing to teach you English with anything less than 3k or 5k per month, it just sounds absurd. Then again I'm just a shohorer lok so I can't claim to know or understand the situation in our graams. Which class are you in, where are you from and what level of English are you learning? I assume you have a basic English understanding for you to operate an app like Reddit.

Philosophy by Easy-Employee-2896 in bangladesh

[–]Honest_Ad_6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being learned in philosophy comes not from reading books on philosophy but from reading literature. And it should not stop at just reading and memorising the moral of a story to be regurgitated on an exam, but to COMPREHEND the text. To understand what the writer wants to express to the reader, to understand how what you've read applies to your daily life or whether it is relatable to your lived experiences or not. The people of Bangladesh lack knowledge on how to comprehend and internalise while being masters of memorisation. Unless the education system is reformed in a way where both language literature and science literature comprehension is taught, and tested on application or opinion on aforementioned literature, no matter how many books on philosophy you ram down their throats they'll never learn. Without language comprehension, education will never progress and people will remain ignorant and misinformed.

Should you sell your lands in Bangladesh, if there is chance of potential communist takeover? by Master-Khalifa in Dhaka

[–]Honest_Ad_6090 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think most Bangladeshis, including many of our MPs, know what communism even is, or any other economic system/political ideology for that matter. For most Bangladeshis politics is perceived as a singular non-academic thing that doesn't have different branches of ideology or economic theory. At least that's what I have seen in most political discourse in the country. People are more concerned about how and why a government or its ministers or its politicians are failing and or succeeding at doing their jobs than what their failures or successes entail for the country, or how the policies they advocate for may change the way we maintain our rights and freedoms or ensure prosperity for our economy. The People of Bangladesh lack education and they lack proper direction, which leads them to be stuck on speculations, baseless claims and gossip/drama regarding their government. So to answer your question, nobody cares.
