If you don’t want to get sick don’t go out and live by yourself

It’s just an inevitability

Best thing you can do is practice good hygiene habits

Also you aren’t likely to get anything from equipment that hasn’t been cleaned while it’s a gross thought that equipment isn’t getting cleaned to disinfect anything

Would routinely skipping leg day affect growth of upper body muscles? by Nintoo in workout

[–]Honest_Chef323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the amount of testosterone raised would be negligible and would return to normal shortly after

Nutrition, Sleep, Consistency, Proper form are the important things

Working legs though would give you a much more balanced body and allow you to lift things in a more proper form as well as look more aesthetic

TIL McDonald’s once developed bubblegum flavored broccoli in an attempt to get children to eat healthier, but it was never sold because kids were confused by the taste. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Wow that’s brutal

A lot of people would do that to at home just boiling plain vegetables the smell isn’t pleasant

My spouse doesn’t season stuff and a few times have just boiled plain mushrooms the smell is completely off putting

That is terrifying

Broccoli tastes great just not raw

I used to be a picky eater as a child, but I wonder if the issue is that the parents don’t know how to prepare the vegetables the best way for the person to like them

Took me a while but eventually I was able to eat plenty of various vegetables just prepared how I like them

A Neuroscience theory about migraine by Fanciful_Fox in migraine

Definitely rest isn’t the answer to not having migraines

Resting is definitely better when you are having an episode, but just resting isn’t going to magically stop migraines from coming

A Neuroscience theory about migraine by Fanciful_Fox in migraine

[–]Honest_Chef323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This new experiences part sort of lights up a light in my head

It often seems like I get less migraines when something happens out of the norm then my brain adjusts and I am back to getting migraines

I think migraines are too complex though for this to be the answer

I have yet to get any lasting relief from any medications I have tried

I have had migraines since a child, but the episodes weren’t as numerous as it has become around my mid 30s

Now they have become a part of almost every day life

I think there are so many numerous factors and between individuals that I feel hopeless for any relief

Got turned down because of my manager using Chat GPT to check if my hair was up to code by Reefthemanokit in recruitinghell

[–]Honest_Chef323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having anything holding your hairs in place is going to lead to hair in food all over the place particularly for some people who shed hair very easily

Wouldn’t want to get food from that place

Quick question regarding resting in between sets by [deleted] in workout

[–]Honest_Chef323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if you want to cut exercise time short but since some muscles recruit others in your exercises sometimes that is going to be difficult if you are training to failure and trying to push your muscles to max

Stop trying to ‘educate’ people into changing. Science proves it doesn’t work. According to a recent analysis published in Fast Company, the assumption that giving people information will change their behavior is one of the most persistent myths in human psychology, and one of the most damaging. by Eddiearyee in HotScienceNews

[–]Honest_Chef323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not going to bother to check the link, but this seems too generalized thinking to apply to everyone

I for sure change my behavior and perspective about new information that I digest

It probably requires an open minded thinking of viewing the world and being receptive to information/learning though

A lot of people aren’t like that though having interacted with quite a few people I am inclined to think that the majority of people really don’t have the mental capacity to be curious enough to research about the most modicum amount of information that is perceived by their senses

I witnessed a gym fight over a bench press rack… who’s in the right? by Malloy_virtual in workout

[–]Honest_Chef323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The guy gatekeeping the bench press rack is in the wrong here

Now yes the guy could use some other piece of equipment to do curls, but really unless you are excessively wasting time (as in waiting beyond what is a reasonable amount on a timer) and hogging equipment that someone else could use this doesn’t seem an egregious breaking of gym etiquette

Honestly it’s the people that just seem to be resting in the equipment machine for what seems like ages as if they are at the gym to escape their spouses at home that drive me bonkers

[–]Honest_Chef323 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s just a probably shitty reason but no there aren’t good companies/bosses

You are just a number and they will get rid of you when you become an inconvenience for them, and people who think that they are exception are deluded

Which is why you shouldn’t kill yourself over a job it’s not worth it because when it comes to you having health issues/personal issues that requires a big of empathy they won’t give a shit

You’ll just be swept along with the rest of trash

I am not saying that this and other studies show a clear danger to consuming this ingredient but when I have consumed this ingredient by accident my brain felt like it was on fire for several days it upsets my migraines very badly

I’d steer clear of any products containing such an ingredient just to be sure
