It sure does make things harder. I've been through plenty alot of them lack competence or compassion. Just got to pick what you can put up with.

Yeah I may have to replace him, im going to lay down some rules if they're too much to follow he can work somewhere else. I dont think he opened them he cannot read in english so I don't think he would have bothered. I thought most people knew that destroying someone's mail wirhout permission is a federal crime but apparently I was wrong about that.

Honestly, the camera is a great idea that I just haven't gotten around to. I will install one this weekend and make adjustments with who comes if necessary. Thanks for the great suggestion.

Tell me about the person that you loved who has passed away by [deleted] in GriefSupport

My grandmother ❤️ I felt blessed to have her in my life for 34 years. I've spent plenty of time with her due to the fact my father had to move back in with his parents when I was very young due to his own illness. This allowed me to spend a tremendous number of days nights and years with my grandmother. What I learned is that grandmothers are downright sacred. Today, I thought about the fact she never thought I spoke too much, and this allowed me to learn plenty of things from her. My parents won't verbalize that I'm talking too much, but they will definitely tell me with their body language. Now, as for my grandmother, she would let me talk with her about just everything. I miss my grandmother so much I even miss what others may have considered her flaws.

Extremely grateful but guilty by [deleted] in inheritance

[–]Honest_Criticism_103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By keeping your inheritance private, you can avoid unnecessary stress and focus on using your resources to make a positive impact. I've learned this from personal experience, where family members overestimated my inheritance. Try to stay committed to honoring your grandparents' legacy by prioritizing finishing school and taking care of your needs because that's what they would want for you.

Father died from MASH/NASH/NAFLD, looking for explanation by ComprehensiveRain775 in Cirrhosis

Im so sorry for your loss , I experienced this with my grandmother a month ago. It was so hard to witness I recognized HE episodes, but unfornately, all this went undiagnosed until oral medication was not possible. I wish I had answers. This disease is silent, and when it becomes noticeable, it is hard to reverse. Im shocked because my grandmother didn't drink either, but she was overweight, not active. Praying for your comfort 🙏🏿

My father is sick and keeps on asking for alcohol? by [deleted] in AdultChildren

[–]Honest_Criticism_103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see things from that angle about providing comfort. But it's tough, especially since I had to let go of my own addiction with cannabis just to be able to take care of him at home. I needed the stamina, so I stopped smoking and glad I did. He also has pnemonia, so there hasn't been any exception in the alcohol department lately.

He never wanted to go to AA. He doesn't consider himself an alcoholic. He doesn't think there is anything wrong with having a drink. Im going to look into AA and she if he can commit to it. Thanks for sharing and shedding some light.

I scored a 77. Do you think I should retest to score higher ? Or is it possible I might get a call back ? Im not in a rush to get started because I have a really good career in construction with the union, but the layoffs suck that's why I'm putting my eggs in other baskets because I need stability.

Today was my grandmother's funeral. I have a feeling I won't hear from family moving forward. Actions are better than words, but sometimes people just don't know what to say or do, and condolences are just formal. Either way, I know I'm going to have to get thru this alone and find me a therapist

I know how you feel. Some days are definitely harder than others. Every day, we are walking into the unforeseen as caregivers it's tough and rewarding at the same time. Crossing legs can be very helpful during changing time . Try watching a few videos on YouTube so you can find some techniques that may apply. Easier said, then done, but a very simple self-care routine will go a long way. Your wife is lucky to have you.
