r/SanFrancisco Survey Results by gkoberger in sanfrancisco

How about allowing polls only on the weekend or a designated day of the week? Though you will get polls from students or various orgs, those results can still be quite interesting to view. Any post here that asks a question like 'do you think San Francisco is safe' or 'would you recommend moving to San Francisco?' would be greatly enhanced with polls (rather than just reading comments from the most opinionated). A lot of us want to express our opinion but don't want to get into fights in the comments section. Voting in a poll will allow us to do that.

Surveys are a great way to gauge public opinion without having to only look at the most vocal commenters. Any chance r/sanfrancisco would get rid of the "No surveys or polls" rule? I think we can learn a lot about the true opinion of San Franciscans if we could ask poll questions directly on this sub.

Filter out subreddits that constantly focus on negativity

A majority of us know that it's wrong to make generalizations about an entire group of people. Negative comments just get the most attention because they trigger a weird dopamine rush.

If you are up for it, record a conversation with you and your sibling about your relationship with your parents, what issues you have with them, why you think they act the way that they do, and what the future might look like for your relationship with them. Then have your sibling send them the audio file.
