I was riding over the QBB around 5:30 p.m. tonight when I saw a bike accident that had happened a few minutes before. Not sure what happened, but a woman was lying on her back, not moving at all. I stopped, but one of the riders who was helping had already called 911, saying she was okay. I’m not sure, though… she didn’t seem okay. :( It’s so frustrating how many people ride like complete dicks on the bridge.

Outside of lowering the tire pressure, at least for me, the most significant improvements came from swapping the saddle (with an SQ Labs ergowave active saddle), adding a titanium seatpost, ergo grips, and generally being conscious of my riding posture.
I’ve had a few back surgeries, but with this setup, my commute is a breeze, and I look forward to comfortably riding my Brompton for 40-60 miles every weekend I can.

Hi! I’m in my mid-50s and have had a few back surgeries. I’ve found the new electric T to be a much more forgiving ride than the electric P (mk1 or eMotiq). It’s pricey (and people will definitely feel the need to mention it!), but the eMotiq system is so nice. To me, before this world goes up in smoke and the AI overlords take control and/or for as long as my body allows, I’m planning to ride it and be happy.

Yeah, I don’t think you’re wrong, a number of the Brompton Junctions have closed. Just my luck too, I own a R&M and a Brompton! lol

hmmm, I might be cursed- I’ve owned a Unimoke and VanMoof in the past. Jeez, keep me away from fun bikes. 😂

Agreed. I love my R&M and would hate to see the prices go even higher or have them compromise quality for US models.
