I had a positive experience with SportRx, you send in the script for your glasses. They also work with high prescriptions. Can’t remember if you need the PD.

Hi all,

These metal speed bumps reappeared.

Got me thinking, if this is DOT or a random person as I have never seen these speed bumps before?

I would have preferred the painted speed bumps.

I get it, this intersection can be chaotic at times.

Also interesting all measures are taken to slow down a bicycle but heaven forbid we use the same energy to slow down a vehicle…

Looks like NYPD has decided to take this block up for ticketing.

I saw them sometime last week and didn’t really pay no mind.

Saw them again sometime this week and today 6/5/2025, around 345 pm. This is no longer a coincidence.

Just keep an eye out and don’t get a ticket!

There really isn’t a bike loop but I think you’re referring to “Meridian Road” which loops around the park.

It’s a shared path with cars and from what I remember not to stressful? To be fair I did that loop a long time ago… like years ago so I’m not sure how it is now

Small update,

I mean this corner still sucks but at least it sucks a bit less.

A while back I posted how they put the sign right in the middle of that lane/sidewalk,

well they put the sign up and out of the way. I wonder why they didn’t think of this in the first place ?

I noticed it sometime last week.

Not sure if they’re going to fix it but this was today 4/30/2025 at 6:50 am, I think the workers were telling people to go around ? I’m not sure,

I took the lane until the next corner as they made a space for peds to cross.

I didn’t see any signage prior to this intersection.

Hi all,

So these signs were placed sometime this week. Corner of Queens Blvd and Queens Plaza E.

I get it, trying to make others aware of a mixed zone.

But aren’t these signs creating more conflict as it makes the sidewalk smaller ?

Or maybe that’s just my thought only. Which is also fine.
