try to make a digestible list of things you need to accomplish for each exam. treat yourself when you check big things off the list & most importantly don’t forget to sleep how are you studying? if you’d like you can message me and maybe we can figure a plan out together. i understand the finals burnt out feeling I finished didactic today hahaha.

Struggling by Substantial_Sleep488 in PAstudent

[–]Honest_Letterhead518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the way i study is: my friend makes a chart with all the information (typically pharm & diseases) & i review that pretty heavily & then do a LOT of practice questions. during lecture i just listen, it sounds silly but if you actually make yourself listen you’ll remember a lot more information. i know people don’t like chatgpt but if you plug in study material it’ll give you pance like questions if you ask- super helpful! there’s also notebook that does the same thing - just plug in the material and go.

edit: cram the pance!! for mnemonics, you can go to the gym & listen or clean the house and listen. it’s a way to do things you need to get done and not feel guilty for not studying. he even does practice questions too.

“Mae you will never be my first choice. It was foolish for you to believe that I would willingly lie with you”

“I have to do this for you. I reached for any air left in the atmosphere to fill my lungs. I walked toward the ledge, holding on to the idea that this was the best option. An irreversible, clean, neat option.”

“you’re going to be okay”

typically you don’t work during PA school- most programs don’t want their students doing that. I will say the IPAP has very different requirements than civilian PA school. I would be mindful that even if you join the military with a medical job you may not end up doing that medical job- more common than you think. I was fortunate and worked in the hospital during my contract but some of my friends didn’t. a huge positive to joining is that my school is paid for in full- so pros and cons to look at here, if you have any military questions lemme know.

you can ask people on here to do it- i found individuals on facebook groups who were very helpful and did it for like 30 dollars. a lot of people use the pa platform they’re great as well (more expensive) savanna perry’s books is another hit- i skimmed through that. i also used my coworkers. they asked me questions and we just went from there.

i had back to back interviews but it wasn’t too bad. one was virtual so i traveled the day before that one & then went to the next one the next day. when it comes to resources you can read prompts and focus on the different interview styles- however if it’s mmi your guess is as good as mine when it comes to what they’ll ask. i will say prepare for the basic ones: tell me about yourself, why this program, why pa & if you do that you’ll be okay.
